Would not want to be a weather forecaster this week! It's still chaos with the models from what I can make out. GFS still wAnts to bring the Atlantic through,other models still saying cold.await the ECM with interest......this has to be resolved sooner or later for all our sanity!

Had letters home from the kds school today staying what the procedure is in extreme weather circumstances.......not saying that they don't do it as standard but surely they would issue it at the start of winter not mid way through and yes Andy music I have seen the council stocking up the grit bins today.....hopefully interesting times ahead!

wouldn't worry to much about missing out on the snow just yet,there's talk of a channel low so we may get lucky.first things first lets get the cold in and go from there. Think fergieweather has been tweeting about events in the south west for next week and this is a good indicator for what we are expecting aswell

some great charts tonight being posted in the model thread,all about 9/10 days away but surely just once the weather gods will let them come off!haven't had a good snow since Jan 2013!

there's a couple of more positive posts in the mod thread today.hopefully it is the start of something interesting brewing. I am really hoping we get some reward for the miserable mild and wet conditions we have endured the last few weeks and hopefully something to cheer about come the new year

some very mixed messages in the mod thread today,some negative posts regarding any cold spell but its only been 1 day of "mild" predictions.hopefully tomorrow will be an improvement

well nice surprise to wake up to a little bit of snow this morning....some very positive vibes coming from the start and model thread these last few days. Hopefully last nights snow is just the beginning!!!
