  1. Indeed we are, we’ve been having light snow blowing in the east wind for the last hour now. Couple miles east of Falmouth in the coast. wayno
  2. First grains of snow here in Cornwall on the south coast and Falmouth. It’s a start ?
  3. Keep the faith guys, it’s slightly better than last nights offerings. There will be more subtle southward corrections over the coming days and I’m sure it’ll be completely different come Tuesday eve. Wayno
  4. Regarding Friday. UKMO & ECM both marginally better this morning from last nights viewings. As it’s been said, been a little too progressive in removing the cold uppers so quickly and I think a trend of correcting further south is on the cards.
  5. I don’t think we’ve seen the end of this drama. What are the chances of the pub run pulling out a stella run ?
  6. GFS being to progressive with Thursday/fridays low. I can still see this system sliding up the channel at better angle and leaving us in a great position to see a good dumping of snow. Basically as Karl has said. wayno
  7. I remember 87 only to well. Was an amazing couple weeks down here in cornwall especially as a 7 year older ?
  8. That’s my only concern. Just hoping we have a slight correction south over the next few days. But not to far obviously
  9. Quite often you see the track of these systems often trend further south within the final 5 days. 2013 springs to mind. If so should keep the colder weather with us for longer and give us guys down south some much needed excitement. wayno
  10. I think anyone on the far south coast of Cornwall and Devon should start seeing snowfall from as early as Monday next week. I remember on a couple of occasions on the Roseland & Lizard peninsula where the shower bands have just hugged the coastline and maybe 3 Miles I Land’s it’s been bone dry. Still loads to play for especially for next Friday, fingers crossed we see a better correction to that low coming up from our south west. Wayno
  11. I’m still a little concerned re the trend for that low coming up from the Bay of Biscay on Friday. The GFS has been hinting at bringing in slightly less cold air in with it for the last few days and I wonder if the UKMO is picking up on it also. ECM for me is a blinder! And one that has been steadfast in holding onto the colder air past next weekend with a better angle for the Low. Interesting times coming up, one that I hope brings a 80s style snow event to Cornwall and the whole of the snow starved south. wayno
  12. Finally something to look forward to. Not only do we have some nice Dry weather to enjoy for the next week but also some more exciting early next week! I still Remember from the 80s what really snowy days are like and I’m beginning to wonder whether next week something big might unfold.?? Enjoy the ride guys
  13. Still the main action looks like happening up on Dartmoor tonight, radar looking good for it!
  14. Isn’t it just. It’s all about that radar and of course that lamppost for waiting for them grains of snow to fall. ? Fingers crossed guys!
  15. I have the same concerns as most here and in full agreement that if it’s snow you want then head to The Moors! Otherwise it’s a waiting game but still great to see a possibility of snow for our area so early in Winter.
  16. You could be right, I guess not the easiest to plot are the tracks of such storms.
  17. Thunder and lightning here in Truro. Took me by surprise, wasn't expecting that
  18. At 138 we see the scandi high drifting further north and not sinking into Eastern Europe. A positive for me.
