Is it sleety wet snow? It looks like it going by the camera.
Ice pellets here which I thought means that game over more or less but given the reports from Liverpool and Blackpool then there is some hope.
Yeah it’s not that heavy either so no chance of it covering anything here.

Snowing in blackpool
I’m surprised lol, was t expecting to see snow tonight.

Drizzle atm, not that I should be surprised. The rain this morning seemed to freeze everything though so maybe we had some freezing rain instead.

The roof has been blown off at the Lidl store in blackpool, closing Devonshire road

It is quite calm here at the moment. Just little breeze.
Same here quite eerie

Winds here have picked up significantly since around 9:00, will be a difficult drive down the M55 with the cross winds, especially for high sided vehicles, take care everyone.
As soon as I finish this, the winds drop right off almost calm like, even with some clear sky too, storm centre possibly?

It's a great photoJust spotted this on facebook taken at Blackpool overnight
The storm wasn't too bad either not as good as Wednesday's but this one was much more photogenic due to it being in the Irish see so we had very little in the way of rain...
I tried to take some but my efforts don't come anywhere near lol

It's exploded on the south Coast at bournmouth right now hopefully things will go off like that up here
-
Looks like another cluster could develop by Liverpool quite soon

Yeah a few cloud to cloud flashes... Very distant rumbles but it's just started to rain hereSame here looking to my NW (the cell over Formby). The lightning must be very high up. I remember seeing a lot of this when I was in northern Australia (Darwin & the Kimberley).
Edit... Not very distant anymore huge flash followed by big rumble too
-
Big flash out to my sw but no rumble
-
23.5c here at the minute... 50% humidity which is higher than before thought it was supposed to become more humid as the day went on!?
-
Temps up to 23 now and humidity is on the increase again... Hopefully today will see the same as last night but not too early got the kids summer fair first.
-
Nick f over in the plume thread thinks the storm that passed over Skipton may have become a supercell.
Was this also not one of the Manchester storms too?
Still getting flashes and distant rumbles been a very good night for me here
Now time for bed.

Is it just me or does the storm by Bradford seem to have split just recently with one going north and the other more to the west and growing... Just something someone said earlier today about storm that take a turn to the west being severe storms

Well after earlier stating it hadn't happened it take it bk lol... Best storm in years for me here... Drove out to faith ahem lake to watch the storms over the irish see toward Stockport come rolling in... Then unbelievable amount of lightning... Pretty sure something near me got struck too as there was a bolt then instantly the loudest clap of thunder I've ever heard.

Met office have moved us back to sleet now and rain for the next two hours. Then back to sleet. I’m off to bed then. Night all
