  1. You know that excellent post/article John Holmes has produced regarding all the parameters needed for snow. Forget it. It’s going to be snowing on the beaches. ‘so long as thas got something’s moist over thas head is gona be white’
  2. Freezing cold. More chance of snow for us as next week goes on.
  3. Information on where to find model output and what time of day they update. 4. Here’s the snow details from the UKMO model. Monday will be mainly dry with sunny spells, but snow showers will develop across some eastern and southern areas. Tuesday will be mainly dry with sunny spells, but snow showers will develop across some eastern and southern areas.
  5. I can’t read the Mod thread anymore it’s giving me a headache
  6. it’s all going to be pushed South. Boring dry weather
  7. We need some serious troughs to make their way over the Pennines.
  8. Dude don’t even joke. I feel physically sick thinking of missing out.
  9. I don’t really care if I only get 10cm if everyone else gets 40cm. My kids will still love it.
  10. Well I have to say if I lived in the East, South and Middle I’d be trembling with excitement. I’m hoping to sweet Jesus we get in on the action as I literally may not be able to take everyone looking at a foot of snow and us have nothing. I’m nervous just thinking about it. How exciting would it be watching snow blob after snob blob on the radar whilst at home having been unable to get into work. The problem is we wish for a north westerly but it’s not cold enough. A northerly gives us wish bone effect. An Easterly is dry. I’m moving. Please someone more knowledgeable than me tell me we will be in on the action too!
  11. If this chart materialised at t0 would the showers make it over the Pennines?
  12. Lets hope for some troughs not just showers. I don't think I can sit through 10 days of heavy snow for the East, South and Midlands whilst we get nothing. Both sliders missed us. The PM air wasn't cold enough for Chorley to have lying snow. 4 Weather warnings this year for Chorley for snow and under those warnings didn't see a snowflake fall. Lets get the Easterly in and then hope for some short waves to get the good stuff over the Pennines !!!
  13. I'm only going to say this once. The SSW in the next 7-10 days is going to blow the Northern Hemisphere apart and we will have northern blocking galore and cold weather. Its going to take a bit more time to down well. Ignore the Mod thread for 7 days.
  14. Some people moving on to the 00z after 120hrs is poor commentary. People never learn to let a run unfold. This is a fantastic chart and oozes potential. A long way to zonal from there.
  15. Latest MO outlook ’Wintry showers may develop, with the potential for some significant snowfalls focused on southern, central or eastern areas. The location and intensity of any snowfall will be uncertain until much nearer the time.’ Have to laugh ?
