Yeah it's howling out there. Very gusty here indeed! 40mph max here so far on the Davis.
-
Yes it's been a vile day. Dark all day and very wet, especially this afternoon. My least favourite kind of weather
-
16mm of rain in the past 24h here now. Miserable really!

Very odd. Worked in my favour as I've had hours of snowfall at 100m. Very odd though.
Yes I just can't understand it really.
Only thing I've thought is that I'm East of Sheffield and South of Barnsley so I'm SE of most ppl posting today. It must be a finger of warmth higher up on this SE flank of the flow today

Still raining here
Completely inexplicable day here given it's snowing all around me and lower down in places
Ah well, it's just the start of winter so hopefully many more snow chances to come if it's a good winter

Very annoying, work friend lives only a few miles away near Hoyland and they've got snow falling.
Yeah it's been frustrating today. Snow all around but here it seems lol.
The hours of drizzle has ruined the laying snow now too, it's just potholed slush!

Still just rain here

Interesting, I have exactly the same temp and dewpoint and only 100m asl compared to your 150m, but I still have light snow.
Yeah it's a strange one. I'm further south is the only thing I can think of, whether 50m is not accounting for that I'm not sure. Just shows how super local weather can be, despite same apparent conditions.
I'll keep an eye on it, if that heavier area pushes in from the SW then the intensity could tip it maybe...

Just rain here despite a temp of 0.1c and a dew of -0.1

I've been away in Colorado past week so haven't posted. Nice to see it's been a cold week for you guys with a little snow last week. Got back yesterday and was lovely to watch the heavy snow here pile up last night. Got a good few inches here.
It's melted fast today though and now raining. Shame it's not going to last a few days.
Still, I've had scenes like this while I was at my brother's, thought you'd all like to see

Crept up to 37.9mph max gust.
Defo escaped the worst over here Rotherham way by the sounds of it
-
Nothing of note here from storm Debi. 11mm recorded this morning and South Yorkshire completely missed the wrap around rain we were supposed to get this afternoon. Stayed to the north.
Been a windy afternoon but nothing major. Max gust 32mph just after 4pm so far.
-
Yes it's not looking pretty over the next few days.
I've recorded 215.6mm of rain for October. So much and with the water table so high after all that then it won't take much to flood again now

What's that yellow circle in the sky??????
-
Over 21mm today at mine, we definitely need Sundays forecast to change!
-
Another 16mm here so far today.
Absolutely torrential here again right now. Not got at all!
-
It's been completely foggy here all day so far. Won't clear. It's really cold too just sat working! Only just reached 9c here.
Not liking the look of tonight and tomorrow with the rain and a yellow warning has now been issued

Touch and go but we just might make it, shame its not all fallen as Snow.
This set up around end of this year and it might have done.
Haha I did think that myself earlier, would have been one of those blizzard days where we end up with over a foot
We can dream!

Just passed 80mm here and it's still bright yellow in radar
Will we get to 100 before it eases north???
-
Well the gap filled in and it's really heavy again now. Currently 5mm/hour station says. It's so dark and miserable too
-
There is a lighter gap here now to the east of Sheffield on the radar. Seems to have eased off here now but still raining. Might only be temporary though and fill in again soon. Have to wait and see but any break in the heavy stuff must be a bonus for the rivers
P.S. 66.4mm recorded here so far now

Nearly 58mm here now.
And we've got a leak in the house.
So much more rain to come it's really worrying for the rivers around Sheffield now
-
30mm already overnight and it's going to rain all day! Amber warning doesn't even start until midday and goes into tomorrow. It's very worrying and certainly a test for the new flood defences since 2007.
We had 25mm Wednesday night too.
Stay safe everyone, it's very windy as well. Just have to hope for the best with any flooding but it's concerning

Feels like it's been a pretty breezy and windy month overall so far. A good few bouts of gales and a few named storms
Probably the next one on Thursday.
Really hope we can scrape a seasonal couple of days around Xmas but it's not looking very wintry at the moment
