  1. French Imports set for the SE - out at sea you may see some flashes along the South Coast.
  2. Well to the north Yorkshire there are some storms nudging northwards, quite potent producing Thunder and Lightning Them rash of storms are capable of delivering the goods
  3. Afternoon All. Happy POETS day not great weather wise, we got a spectacular storm yesterday. CG lightning, one strike was really close. You could feel the tremble and then a bright flash which blinded me for a 3/4 of a second. Apart from that episode we have had nothing great.
  4. We had a absolute beast of a storm around 15:00 the CG lightning, lit the room purple Constant thunder and torrents of rain, on the basis of that today has been a success, Best storm of the year
  5. Moderate to Heavy rain drenching the South East corner, concern for Kent the totals must be very high. That PPN crawling towards the South West, has a bite to it. Thunderstorms a possibility.
  6. So much for the pessimism, no energy... ? Well no need all french imports, where currently the 'energy' is at moderate levels. Storms slamming the far SE, bright echoes. Flashing flooding around the Dover area? Have a nice Evening All
  7. Do you lot even go work/school or even sleep Today is looking more promising then yesterday, longer spells of rain drifting across the Channel and surviving. Far more optimism then yesterday, surely? Imports are the order of the day, nothing homegrown.
  8. Gutted up north is stealing the limelight, this region has done dire. The MCS disintegrated then guess what it went Belgiuim We have had nothing at all this week, a average week so far. You cannot forecast storms it's totally by chance, we will get our 'bomb' when we least expect it It is depressing to see the continent having a fiesta meanwhile we are stuck under dark clouds, that do nothing at all
  9. Hi All, Well this is dreary, the day is young That clump moving northwards, is destined for East Sussex, Kent.
  10. The MCS has taken a sharp turn NW. This rules out the whole of the SE, unfortunately. As a result I have highlighted where the main area of risk is - east of Brighton 25% chance. Unless there is some sort of miracle, I have little understanding with MCS. I hope it turns east in a spectacular fashion
  11. To my untrained eye, the MCS seems to be going a tad NE? Confidence increased to 60:40 This could be a scenario when East London is bone dry and West London is cooking...
  12. possible MCS developing Huge mass of heavy PPN. Pushing northwards our way. Weather Gods be nice - for once. This is far more exciting then a few snow showers. For London this is 50/50. I have a terrible feeling that it may glimpse past.
  13. What ever it is. I'm very excited, I will be keen to see how the situation develops Oh please hit London, I have the camera at the ready, the trajectory points to the SE. Further east for a change may get lucky.
  14. You would have thought there was a Snow Storm after all the posts !! Like a firework display, eyes draw to the Isle of Man, Please update us. Could there have been a possible Supercell?
  15. 24.2C very warm - Hottest day of they Year 2014 Sweltering outside, the plume of hot continental air has hit our shores Have a nice day all - Remember to drink plenty of water, hydration is a necessity.
  16. Nice photos Jax & Reefseeker A warm day, Summer has finally arrived. Even in Greater London we failed to hit 22C to be frank, Northolt always seems to have the highest maxima 23.5C, Today. Northolt is not the most built up area, yet seems to always record the highest temperatures. Why is this?...
  17. Afternoon All. I hope you're all having a pleasant Saturday This sultry weather - plays havoc to my sleep. It is unbearable, little to no breeze. 2013 all over again... It has now clouded over, and it is very groggy and stagnant . Monday is looking spectacular, astonishing cape -5. If this comes to fruition it could be explosive
  18. Little disappointed, under reasonable cape but the thick cloud. Is preventing surface heating. To make matters worse, the temperature has dipped - and it's now really humid and groggy Monday is looking exceptional widespread risk of Thunderstorm. Only upgrades please
  19. Evening All. Hope you're all well and fine. Sorry to hear of your Fathers passing Alixzandra It is all too easy, to think that we are immortal but sadly stuff can come up at any moment., Warm day 21.3c. some scattered cloud but predominantly sunny
  20. I must say, I'm rather encouraged by the model output. They have remained steady, impressive Some PPN coming up from the continent - so imports some of which could be thundery MCS development over the Bay of Biscay, should not be discounted at this stage Some proper warmth situated over all of Western Europe, the heat is building as expected at this time of year.
  21. Above 70 °F finally an awful long time this year :DI do not enjoy the humidity and the soaring temperatures,my optimum temp is 22c any higher and it is more of a discomfort. The only positives is that it makes the atmosphere more ripe for storms..
  22. Evening All. It looks set to be turning much warmer, a warm southerly flow. GEM has forecasted this warm spell surprisingly well it is a model not to be glimpsed at. It may hit 25c, depending on cloud cover. As the heat increases, so does the risk of potent outbreaks of thunderstorms
  23. Here in SE London it was about 12PM and the rain was surreal It was like being in a Indian Monsoon, and booming Thunder, that shuddered the ground I stood on, throughout the day we have done very well. Sadly this may be the most decent day for a while...
  24. We had an absolute cracker of a Storm it was about 12pm and the rain was the most heaviest I've ever seen it, monsoon like . Even some Thunder followed by that cracking Storm we have had some very potent showers, hail stones pitch black skies. Presently bright sunshine - British weather is stunning
  25. Torrential Rain and Thunder about 10 minutes ago That beast ^ seems to be the culprit, charged cells, no Supercell the search goes on
