Here's to a snowy and cold new year!!

Usual rubbish in the mod thred this morning, mild lovers slapping each other on the back and giving out big high fives. Just like boom and bust winters over and we all know what happen then.....!

It's going to be mild ramp ramp ramp ramp, it's never going to be cold again ramp ramp ramp ramp,winters over for the next 200 years ramp ramp ramp ramp, once this set up is intrenched it is very hard to move and could hang around for the next millennium ramp ramp ramp ramp! Ok I accept the mild camp may have won the next couple of weeks, but wish they where a bit more gracious in victory, otherwise they do set themselves up to get there noses rubbed in it when we have a cold spell. Needed to get that off my chest, lets hope for better luck towards the end of the month coldies.

From what I remember we got a light dusting here, and got very excited as a young lad expecting a white Xmas, only for our maths teacher to tell us with a big beaming smile that it would be all gone in the morning. Never liked maths anyway.

Mild rampers you either love em or hate them depending on the time of year!! LOL

Has anyone else noticed the band of preicip moving east over Ireland at the mo? Looks pretty organised will it mush its way over the uk or stall and fizz out over Wales?

Is any of that precip gonna make to us from over newark/Grantham or will it fizzle out?, could do with a little top up after the slight thaw we had earlier. Sorry already answer above!

Thanks weatherguy, just another reason why snow is so hard to get in the uk then! Sound like a case of cutting off your nose (get the cold in) to spite your face (means no/limited PPN!) For our part of the country anyway, but i live in hope!

Why is it when the ppn is rian it just steamrollers in from the west and doesnt peter out!
