    Hmmm...am I the only one that thinks our chances of seeing a good amount of snow have reduced? It certainly will snow, but it seems like it'll be more like a cm here and there?

    Surprised to see quite so much optimism in here as I'd say there's nigh on zero chance of anything for the South East...the future looks good but tonight isn't our time. Happy to be wrong.

    Been snowing in Colchester pretty heavily since around 10pm...but no depth due to the string winds. It's pretty showery but it's falling hard when it comes... *strong

    Not a lot more happening in Colchester...but some great showers earlier. Reading the forum on my iPhone tonight so can't tell people's locations! Forecast seems to be for no more snow for us in North Essex...but the radar suggests it might not quite be over yet. Thoughts?

    Currently 0.8 deg here in North Essex with DP of 0.4 Decent snow falling at the moment but so wet nothing will come of it. Not holding out much hope for anything much tomorrow but some interesting weather about nonetheless.

    I'm a teacher and have to pretend the snow is no big deal to the kids to calm them down...when in reality I just want to be looking out the window!

    Us snow lovers are a funny old bunch, aren't we? All winter we've been seeing these amazing charts dissolve into nothing, by and large...and here we are frothing over another set. Forgive me for not getting excited this time. Hope I'm wrong but not holding my breath.

    Approximately 1cm here in North Colchester. Been snowing since around 18:00 but not amounting to much. Temp 0.4 DP 0.1

    Up to 1.1 degree in north Colchester and seemingly still rising. I called rain/sleet a while back...just couldn't see it making us, despite the warnings and forecast.

    Well, we'll see, I guess! Going to bed now as feeling crap...late nights been catching up with me! Fully expecting to wake up to not much in the way of snow....then I'm off to pick up a 4x4. Could be good timing!!

    Not expecting much in Colchester at all. Don't think it'll reach this far with any precip falling as sleety mix. Plus I want football to be on....Colchester need a win!

    Wow!!! What a great time to choose to go for a walk! Best snowfall of the day, massive flakes and lots of them! Was going out for fifteen minutes...ended up being a lot longer than that, making the most of an unexpected turn of events!

    I run my school's twitter account...getting loads of kids tweeting "Is school open tomorrow?!" Is it wrong that I'm enjoying telling them "Yes, it is!"

    Been a great day today...took the little boy on a sledge for the first time...not sure he totally enjoyed it as much as me! Trying to get a 16 month old to be as excited as me about the snow was always going to be a tall order as well! He must have thought his daddy had gone mad! Shame he's too young to be able to remember the day it snowed for 12 hours. I'm sure there'll be many others though.

    Really?! Where abouts in Colchester? I'm Eastwood Drive and its practically stopped now...just very gentle, very small flakes floating down.
