So as ROUGH guide. Rain to snow ratio is 10-1. NW Forecast between 9-10am is saying 7mm snow!! 3"!! I know upper air temps and other factors change that equation but...........??

My bad!! ?? Haven't seen the temps this evening and was looking out the window! Would appear my gutter is leaking, dripping onto my outside light and splashing. Which in turn looks like very fine flakes mixed with wet snow!! What an idiot ?

Either I'm being infested with white flies or it's very fine snow blowing around here! Very sleety too ???

Thanks for replying guys, really appreciate your patience and more to the point your posts on here. Been a lurker for some time and have really got the bug for weather watching. Where's the best places to learn about reading charts and data and also what's your thoughts on Gavin Partridge? Watch alot of his YouTube videos (to me he seems pretty good.) But then again I thought that about most of them in the Mad thread ???

In the MOD thread they're saying the low keeps tracking further South on each run! How bad would the winds be if it was, say 100miles further South?

Been lurking in the mad thread lately and although next week looks wet and v. windy for us, what do you guys think we'll get next wknd? Can't help but feel we're in for something special! Possibly dangerous. As much as I want snow.......... I need to work

Just checked NW forecast and they got me down for thunderstorms 6-9am!! Is this likely? I can't see how this is possible from the charts

Looking at all the radars, I can't see us getting anything tonight! It all looks to be heading too far East and heading straight for London from France.

By saying right do you mean East? I'm currently sat in my back garden looking S/SE in hope to see something tonight as I slept through Fridays storm!! I even had my phone alarm set and still didn't wake!!!
