  1. Funny kippure I was amazed that the tv forcast today mentioned the possibility of snow so far ahead of the 'possible' event. Then when I checked cefax I saw snow and sleet for many places in the uk from the Midlands upwards on Wednesday. Remarkably early forcasts from such sources. Worries me - in the past such early warnings have killed off any prospects! dl

  8. Come on guys - I think Crimsone has made some valid points and all you are doing is picking on his spelling etc. Perhaps he is dyslexic (like me and Richard Branson!). Give us a chance. DL
  9. Been looking for a discussion to reply on - surprisingly the main ones that folk I thought folk would want to look on are closed! I was surprised on UKMO chart for 1800 hrs to see a trough just off Cornwall that reaches down to NW Spain. This: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rsfloc.gif Shows that there are storms over NW Spain moving in a northerly direction. What's the view on where they are going? dl

  13. Incidently ..... don't buy the further outlook from the METO. It's not particularly good unless the bleeding obvious is about to occur. After a week .... it's fairly meaningless. dl
  14. Good answer! Plain English is a rare art these days. dl
  15. Hi ICBINT PPN can alter dramatically in a very short space of time whether it is frontal or convective due to many reasons. The comment I really want to make is that on a thread for newbies (see 1st post) they may not understand acronyms like GFS, PPN, Oz etc .... did you when you first came on site. Not to say your observation is not valid. Regards. dl
