  1. Heavier areas of snow breaking out all over the north and east midlands. This could be very good indeed. Snow starting to settle on minor roads and pavements that had thawed around here.
  2. The band of heavy precipitation from Liverpool through Oxford is now making slow but steady headway north east and with the ever expanding precipitation over the East Midlands, North Midlands looks to be the perfect area for the heaviest of the snow this evening and overnight as stalling should then take place for hours
  3. snowing on and off in Chesterfield. A layer of 2 inches this morning now down to 1 inch and holding as the slow temperature rise has steadied now 33.7 with dew point 30.2.The area of precipitation over Nottingham and Leicester has this areas name on it, and its expanding. I am expecting some heavier snow within the hour
  4. On gfs06z run the snow band tonight looks slightly further north west, possibly affecting most of the midlands and up in to lincolnshire and norfolk, and heavy at times again too
  5. If you look at the track of the precipitation... it looks directly north and if so should hit a large part of the midlands and possibly as far as Yorkshire http://www.sat24.com/Region.aspx?country=g...r&type=loop
  6. Heres an interesting read http://www.climatechangecorp.com/content.asp?ContentID=5894
