  1. Today's High Temp 2.2°C at 13:41 Hmm & that is in them thar hills. So it was cold enough here to freeze the balls off a brass monkey I know it's a bit warmer in Tarmac City but how on earth did you manage to get tanned in that sunshine? And how long did you have to stand out in it
  2. Ok, have taken a quick look at tomorrow and after viewing several different maps, I have settled for taking a few screenshots of the Storm Risk map. They encapsulate minimal effects as a whole. These three screenies show the wind direction as the Risk travels from East to West across the south of the UK. There are smatterings of showers showing throughout the day. Therefore it is possible that streamers could set up in favourable places and looks to be where the weak signal is being seen
  3. Happy New Year to you too and thanks for posting this data. According to that I was in the hotspot I never heard much, must have been asleep Have had a quick look at Netwx & met.office apps for Easterly snow threats tomorrow and on both Apps it has High Storm risk, wasn't aware something was due! Maybe there is convection signalled for Thames streamer? Will go have a look at more reliable data
  4. Temperature 2.3°C Have begun to watch for sub-zero temperature, it may be a push looking at weather station graph though. It has been wall-to-wall sunshine here today which has been a lovely surprise. Did the app thing, as you do for poops n giggles when it's an Easterly ish wind direction, the symbols have appeared for here but only bare minimum hourly events
  5. @Tom Quintavalle just caught up with this thread and see your words. I will jump in and bid you well wishes for your treatment Have a speedy recovery You are in our thoughts here As for snowflake possibilities on Monday, I wish the Kent contingent well. I don't expect any here this far inland, guess I have to watch for photos to be posted here while I watch the temperature fall
  6. Oh dear, doesn't sound too good lol A low making its way down is bound to skirt past the UK in some fashion or other. Think we are likely to wave bye-bye to anything other than chilly couple of days ... IMAGES.APP.GOO.GL Thanks for update.
  7. We had a mini squall here which just passed over, sounded like it's Big Brother who went through first approx 2 hours ago lol

  9. I'm chuffed for you, so glad to hear that you had a good squall and that someone got my share You are right about the sweet spot, just like Thunderstorms... They skirt round the edges of Chilterns these days. Hope that's not the start of a trend! Do enjoy seeing the pictures taken especially from the seashores
  10. Yeah shame we can't have it both ways. Hopefully that was a waterspout seen from Isle of Wight and not a tornado, especially when it is dark.
  11. Just been through it and come out the other side. Have know better Squalls to be honest. Rain spike for a minute and a few gusty howling moments and that was it. Radar looks far more impressive

  13. Has got quite windy here, haven't been out but is howling through the open window and gusts are reaching 46mph. Not very strong but does sound good Squall is crawling across the country, from West to East, been keeping an eye on the radar for a few hours and still not reached here. Expect it between 0:00 and 02:00 ish.
  14. Ooh something to look out for maybe. Probably nothing here just me getting jealous of other regions Will go and have a quick read though
  15. Wow I fell for that hook link & sinker, even looking to see what trees they are whilst thinking that can't be Kent, surely? Some nice photos emerging of the PSCs/Nacreous clouds
