  1. Temperature -5.8°C Humidity 95% Dewpoint -6.5°C Wind ENE Barometer 1020.6 hPa & Steady Monthly Low Temp -6.9°C was also the Yearly Low Temp -6.9°C That 'Lowest temp' was at the beginning of February and to be honest Easterlies are utter pants here in the Bucks Chilterns for snow so I am taking note of just how COLD we can get Bit more til that is breached and could even be tonight as lowest temps tend to happen just before sunrise, so in that respect I'm looking forward to Low temps and possible Ice days with hopefully blue skies in the mix instead of cruddy grey slate skies!
  2. That 2nd blob on the left cruising over Luton might swing your way if it peps up a bit
  3. https://www.windyty.com/?56.414,5.186,4 <-- that shows it still blowing from oop norf, the SW'ly being recorded here at the mo could be just the way it whistles round these hills in it's own mad way
  4. Fingers crossed for you Sno' , radar is looking better for those to the east of me now compared to earlier.
  5. Wind is all over the place, it was a NNW 'ly when I last had a flurry but right now weather station is showing as a dreaded SW'ly
  6. Had a few sprinkly flurries at about 9pm which showed a tiny covering on car roofs, then at 11.30pm ish radar showed a slightly heavier return and produced a bit more but not much, as can be seen in pics. All looking as if sprinkles may pop up elsewhere now, so hoping others get the joy of a few flakes falling leaving things looking pretty for a few hours Temp -0.7c /Dewpoint -1.5c
  7. Snow Been steady and moderate for just over an hour, sticking to rooftops and cars nicely with grass and tarmac joining in during the last half hour. Temp -0.1c with dewpoint -0.3c and a ESE wind blowing.
  8. Poor lil bush! Still snowing moderately, that's been 9 hours now since the first tiny little flakes began blowing in the wind. Wonderful to see after so many years, easily the best since 2010 here
  9. <---- This was at 4.15am <---- and this is 2 and a half hours later a look at the snowfall still coming down on an easterly wind So about an inch and a half (4cms ish) so far which is fantastic after thinking it would just be rain or sleet at best. Really hope that the magic flakes show up for others as the system moves during the day For those on mobiles, I'm in the Chiltern Hills.
  10. Taken a short while ago and it's still snowing although radar seems stuck holding me right on a knife edge before slush and has been for the last 30 or 40 mins!
  11. 07.45am then the same view 2hrs later at 9.45am had got even whiter Sky still looks full of it and is still snowing although lighter now. Hope others south of me see some of the same sights as it flies through
  12. Precipitation charts 7 days away! Yeah the graphics are there to view but let's not kid/confuse ourselves that they will even come close to verifying or producing at that range. We struggle to predict 3 days in advance with regard to precipitation. The current corresponding 500 + SLP chart for that timeframe is T186 and shows nothing drastic or significant beyond a cool westerly for the entire UK . Will it intensify as T72 and closer draws near? The NH profile this morning says NOT *shrugs* would love a white something/anything but can't see anything that indicates it this side of 2017 so why post precip charts in FI showing that it may? I'm confused by that.
  13. FID! (Fog In December!) Index ...what does that mean then Lassie It's mighty foggy outside with sun trying to get through and a whopping 3.4c so far with an Easterly breeze flowing. Better than the grey murk of drizzle and 8c of recent days that's for sure
  14. SNOW! Finally..unforecasted and unexpected, as always..SNOW 2 year shield just broke! Sky looks full of it, 1cm accumulation so far and still falling...ahhhhh
  15. First few flakes began fluttering down about 10 mins ago...upto the size of 5p. I haven't checked the radar yet but it's slowing down already as if it's just a teasing quick flurry.
  16. Dry and feeling cold here with a nice frost covering on cars and grass. Temperature is tumbling, currently -5.4°C
  17. Frost came in thick and fast early evening. Feeling cold and temperature had dropped to -5.5°C just after Midnight but has been on the rise since and is currently at -1.1°C
