Memories of severe weather in the 80's and 90's are much more vivid than the 2000's. Autumn 2000 did have some interesting weather. The late feb 2001 snowstorm in S Scotland sticks out as the most severe winter weather that has occurred in the UK in the 00's Storm of Jan 2005 was interesting for Cumbria.
