    Times like this I wish I had my camera back Some really stunning orange darkening skies just now. Amazing thngs seen today!

    I don't know if it was just me but I thought the moon at half past 5 this morning was absolutely glorious (sure it was a full moon) I wish I had my camera back as I would have took a picture. Looked absolutely amazing

    Showers...........of Rain here (I think) Didn't notice it falling but ground wet indicating it was rain

    Technically it's not scotland but Berwick V Rangers on ESPN some nice snow falling there now

    Snow stopped. Not even left a covering but always a bonus to see any type of snow

    Light snow just getting a little bit heavier. Wasn't expecting anything to be honest but there you go.

    Really starting to feel bracingly cold! Yesterday was not too bad when the sun was out (briefly) but ever since that disappeared it been cold since. BRR!

    Could be as low as -10 tonight in some sheltered parts of the highlands tonight. That's not bad for this time of year indeed!

    Cloudy day is turning into a really clear and very very cold night indeed!

    Really has got very chilly with the cloud and wind. Noticeable windchill BRR!

    Now the cloud is defo just starting to approach the eastern horizon. Close to game over for the sunny weather

    Looks like we might just about hang on to clear skies rest of the day (did see whispers of grey cloud and I thought here we go it's coming) but they have melted again.

    Another clear (start at least) to the day. 1 point it will cloud in and that might stick around for a while but hopefully it will hold off to much later on today (mighty cold last night and this morning again but frost just about lifted now)

    After the sun comes the cold! Temperatures already dropping like a stone. BRR!

    Another fantastic start to the day if chilly. Just a pity it not a few degrees warmer but really nice. Cold tonight too and might start OK tomorrow before the cloud enroades (and that may well be that rest of the week)

    What a totally different day today as quite a few of you have mentioned. More or less a dawn to dusk sun day! Still quite bright even now. Might not last beyond tomorrow/tuesday but it's a start!

    Totally dead here today weather wise. Cloudy with no wind. Exciting!

    Quiet out there today. Some showers but nothing major (only small patches of snow remain as I thought they would from yesterday) still might have next week to come................

    Not very much cover left now and what remains is very wet indeed. Would expect it to go very quickly during the daylight later on.

    As quick as that the snow has turned to rain was snowing 10 minutes ago

    Roads are more covered now than they we're a few hours ago. I will now say that this easily best snow event since the november/december 2010 epic

    Not sure if any more snow lying but flakes seem to be getting bigger

    Can't say thundersnow is something i've experienced too much (although I am sure there was a rumble of thunder years ago before a major blizzard) can't remember ever seeing any lightning during snow though.................

    Still going which is not bad actually (I was up at about quarter to 5 for a pee and it seemed to be going then) 6 hour fall is actually pretty decent
