  1. Thanks for the heads up Have heard 1 or 2 myself so hopfully get more and louder in a bit
  2. Looking south again were all the reports of storms are, we have rain constant now and its getting dark from the south, can here constant rumbles this will be a gooden.
  3. The storm brewing around the MK/Bedford region is moving in rather random way (east to west) , however then it looks to be rotating very stormy feeling outside and very warm.
  4. Gone all dark here much earlier I think we may see a storm before all the visibly stuff hits tonight, Storm clouds had built now huddled together looking south and its gone black lol
  5. Oh my days, just got in from work to see a beast on the radar, does look to be extending and moving centrally maybe a touch to the east, I cant wait for this evening, I imagine it be around 8pm - 10pm for it to reach this area and I can not wait
  6. Good prediction for how that storm is going to start in the bay of Biscay, blowing up like a big balloon. However like with all predictions they can change at the moments notice, it could end up being very different. At this short time though its likely but it could be 50 - 100 miles out in either direction, lets just hope its 100 miles west as it may end up crossing more of western France and end up smacking straight over most of England, mind you could do the opposite and not even bother us lol.
  7. Is Saturday afternoon/ evening going to be one of those things I haven't seen for so many years, were looking across my south over fields and the whole skyline turns jet black with lightning across the lot. I would say the last time that happened for me was probably in the 1999 - 2003 period of time, been so long.
  8. Bit of an early one that storm and has passed (passing) to the side, we need to see storms growing from south of bedford to hit us direct.
  9. Few rumbles in distance south of my position the whole skyline is getting darker with towering storms, looks to still be building and the wind has dropped right off.
  10. Wow last nights storms were brilliant, was awake for most of it from 12 am until I had work at 6 am going to record some footage tonight if all kicks off again. Studying radar and even looking out to the south of me I can see towering clouds in the distance, they look to be building once again I would guess at those cells building are about 60 miles away and with current wind direction it puts me in a great path again, fingers crossed
  11. Dont loose hope yet, im a bit further north of you and looking from my bedroom to the south the whole skyline looks to be rather stormy, Mind you I kind think if we get anything it will just be a clipper lol.
  12. I also think its still very early on in the night with plenty of time for more storms to break out further afield.
  13. Just got in from work, looking across the fields I can see the large area of storm slightly left and further south of MK, looking at the last 3 hours of movement we might be in for a it or just clip it, however what isn't showing up on radar is how far the whole cell curls around and looks to head further east. Hopefully this is just structure building as it looks far to dark to be nothing.
  14. Glad to see these storms making it across, as it did look a bit hit and miss to start with, hopefully they will build up over the land taking in the extra humidity and feed up to my location for early hours of the morning as I look to be in their path (very very south midlands)
  15. I have also seen strikes displayed on SD.info however I believe the positioning is a little incorrect and its actually from the storms on the french coast. ... On another note this is the view from my bedroom window which points south with a whole 180 degree of viewing, one of the main reasons I think I love storms, last time I see this whole skyline turn black was probably 2006 so hoping to see some good stuff again day and or night. Peter
  16. Thanks and sorted Does many people on here use strike display, I have used it for a good two to three years now I find it sort of accurate most of the time but a little fishy every now and then? Pete
  17. Hi I am new to this site, though I have viewed it plenty of times due to my love for storms I thought I would join in the chatter as it looks like the next 48 hours could be the most explosive the skies have been in a long time. My location is south Northamptonshire and I am hoping I will be in the middle of some of these storms. I have strike display, rain radar, Google earth all up ready to track these storms and is looking good. Anyways hello to you all and lets hope we can enjoy these storms, also hoping this breakdown doesn't do the usual and kill the rest of summer lol. Peter
