Would like to see movement central to a line from Weymouth to Peterborough, this would wake me up in the night and keep me happy driving and working around Peterborough in my truck lmao. Guess we can all live in hope.

Is it possible that those PWAT levels could also come frome some extremely large thunderstorms as well as the feared just large amounts on non thundery rain? Really keeping fingers crossed for a decent thunderstorm!

Currently a large East West split at moment, it's clearing out from the east though slowly.

A chilly and less than pleasent start to the day, it should clear but that is a large and thick area of cloud cover, was hoping for a brighter note this morning.

And in every other single way it has been dreadful! For the gardens, for the farmers, for the mind etc just dreadful! People say it has to change but it doesn't. And it does not look like it is going to any time soon, not in the reliable. Sick to death of it.

Is it possible for a dry day around south east midlands? Fed up up of really bad forecasting and not being able to do anything outside, and drying clothes can be near on impossible! I cant remember the last correct forecast where it has not rained as stated, wake up today and see clear blue skies, check forecast and yes it looks a good day to get the clothes washed and out drying. Moment I hang it all up huge great dark clouds appear and it launches it down! Should of checked the precipitation charts but even they seem not to reliable! Want cold clear dry weather not this unpredictable muck.

Could this be for here soon i wonder?

That was a biblical storm over Rushden, Northant's. Most of the lightning was high up CC and I would say a shame but I won't! Th thunder may as well of been one continuous rumble, was amazing!

Rumbling loudly over here, rain getting very heavy with slight hail, few close CG's, completely did not believe the forecast, did not follow nothing and it pays off lol. Interesting to see how heavy and large this storm area is!

Careful of those weeee little tiny rain clouds and there pretty little lightning strikes....

Yes also thought a rather large squall line, some crazy wind direction down along the M4 corridor!

Fantastic storm currently in play over head, wasn't quite sure it would make it but it has, and is doing great. Quite a bit of hail, plenty of lighting though not much in the way of CG lightning. Picture below was as it approached, picture not doing full justice. Peter.

Yep noticed that, sun broke through nicely, heat and humidity has shot up. And clouds are bubbling like mad!

Anything more to your south? Again we may of missed out slightly, for me it all went boom as it left towards Kettering.

Thanks for clearing my head up for me I did hear and see lightning but couldn't be sure, as the shower moved off. Massive tower gone up to my south now..

Storm to my west, south of Northampton strikes popping up, can see it close from my house but to far to hear anything and going in wrong direction for me. This is however good news for what seems to now be brewing further south and east, now storms if you can just keep your selves composed and organised please.
