  1. Thunder heard from the storm that us currently over the Thrapston area, it outfilled this way quite a bit. Unfortunately it's heading to far north and west. Let's see what else heads close by.
  2. I can see this from Rushden and was talking to Zac about it, as thought it was the Peterborough tower but it was total wrong direction. I do think things are starting to break out, those fingers are still crossed.
  3. Something I noted from yesterdays storms was the line was on a similar track to those in France (convergence line), Now noting todays explosion of storms in Dijon and northern Paris. If you zoom out and create a sort of line along the wind direction I do wonder if the Storms will initiate in the same way again which would be that slightly more east and central?
  4. I am hoping it might be a little better for central and slightly further east today, I am feeling slightly more positive than yesterday, very hard to tell where storms may start to build from. Might go chasing later, if not to far and things look good. I am hoping for initiation to begin and built over the Hertfordshire and or very south Bedfordshire area or maybe North London area.
  5. Fingers crossed bud, was gunna go chasing but my mate is busy. Grrr
  6. Seems to be quite thick around this area this morning, not as bad as yesterday, but nothing like the beeb forecasted only a couple of days ago! Really hoping it shifts, like now lol, got a fair bit of washing I need drying.
  7. Great start to the day here, lovely unbroken warm sunshine, which has dried everything up. Little wind, only just now a small amount of cloud has started to appear, what can we expect, who knows? Yesterday was very good and very unstable.
  8. The cloud scape is mad here, back and fourth rolling around, what was slowly heading away is back building madly!
  9. Think I spoke to soon earlier, it may be cloudy but its broken enough I think and very warm. And looking at how explosive it looks on radar, well fingers crossed.
  10. Seems to be so much more cloud than predicted, and pretty thick. It's quite muggy but I find it hard to see any proper thunderstorms kicking off later around ere. There are clearer patches further south and west, so maybe they be in for a shout.
  11. Currently at my Dads for Christmas near Porthmadog by the coast (N,Wales) and we have thunder and lightning!!! Happy Christmas all.
  12. I shall have a fleeting pass in here, This year I have such a huge love hate relationship with the snow and cold. I really do love the clean white land scape that snow and frost produces, I love playing out in it, driving in it (I am a HGV driver) etc. However I equally love coming into a worry free warm house afterwards and to just stare across the fields at the wonderland, well here is my hate now, the balance of cost and heat is really bad, and I do ok for money, savings etc. So for many others it must be dire. So I guess I really am hating the cold, unless it can quickly produce some good feet deep snow to redeem it self then go away quickly lmao.
  13. What crazy times it's been this week, mental storm Thursday early morning right over head. I caught distant flashes this morning and now a decent ish thunderstorm just clearing north Northamptonshire! Wowzer.
  14. This is a pretty intense storm, great natural alarm clock albeit very sudden lmao.
  15. What on earth! Full blown thunderstorm here in Rushden, travelling from the direction of Bedford! A real goodun as well, most unexpected and at this time of the morning lol. Enjoy all.
  16. Trying to keep it old school and not look at radar or lightning trackers as doing that usually brings disappointment, good old looking out the window. Its now a near on constant rumble and getting darker. Things must be changing fast.
  17. Glad you can see this, I am currently looking towards Bedford from Rushden across open fields, its getting darker and looking good. To add, first distant rumble heard!
  18. Well Feels pretty stormy out here in East Northants. Its nice and warm, ultra still and clouds bubbling away. I would say I seem to be some where within the convergence zone, time will well.
  19. Toilet paper... Lightning blitz for ten days, not even America warrants silly headlines like that.
  20. I'm literally pulling at that door, and it's stuck Laying in bed, stairing out, window wide open and nothing.
  21. Looking out of bedroom window over the fields where it lays, very dark but no ignition.
  22. Out with 17 drops around Milton Keynes in a artic lorry, trying to get as much done as quick as possible, blown away with the rapid heat development!!
  23. This is the biggest issue more over anything, health in the modern western world is much much worse! Yes better care but we don't care about ourselves at all. Adapting is almost out of the question for most going forward.
