Just wondering what website/app people find the most accurate for wind speed. I tend to look at BBC (metogroup), met office and XC weather (GFS I believe). What I can see at the moment is XC weather is over playing current wind gusts by and estimated 20mph. It’s also showing the highest maximum wind speed later today around 15mph above the others. Which is pretty standard in my experience.Great section on the NHS website....just scroll down to 'chronic flatulence '.

Thats why we want that straight flow and block in a better position before Darth Vader and his sidekicks attack .
Its crucial to have a solid start , if you see that bulge in the flow early and the block orientating more ne sw it’s easier for Vader to break through our defences.
At that point the battle is almost lost .

I've heard that a strong El Nino coupled with a strong Indian ocean Dipole is bad news for cold in these parts....is there any truth to this?
