Bude is taking a battering. This is exactly why the danger to life warnings were warranted. Getting hit by some of this debris could end your life:

To those giving the whole "what a let down, it was exaggerated, what storm?" nonsense - just stop.

I'm sure it's quite bad in certain parts of the country but where I am it absolutely hasn't,  it's just breezy here with the odd stronger gust!

As a lover of extreme weather it's been quite a disappointment to me and I'm in Sth Wales.

Might be calm in many places but it's really, really windy here already - windiest I've seen in many a moon so given that this is nowhere near peak then I'd say I'm worried.  My instincts aren't good on this but I hope to have egg on my face in front of friends family and work colleagues later...

I'm in the red area and 90 mins in we have a moderate breeze so far.

Very poor from Met not issuing a red warning earlier, people at work saying Amber warnings hardly anything happens usually, no good upgrading to red at 4am most normal folk are asleep then,

Met office losing its credibility by the hour

2nd red warning not in force until 10am , I'm sure most will be awake long before then.

Hope that works Frayed Knot looks like it links to the sub section I’m reading ie the New England regional thread. The software used looks very much like our site so it’s very easy on the eye.
mind you if you think our Model output thread gets tense and bitter sometimes it’s really tame up to this lot OMG

Fascinating reading through....think I might become a member

I think the word Meh sums up tonight’s outputs !

They’re not crxp enough to throw some toys out of the pram and neither are they good enough to have coldies bulk ordering ear muffs and scarfs !

Overall the outputs have downgraded the cold and wintry potential but the margins are quite small and could still edge the other way so all is not lost .

I'd say that sums things up rather nicely.
