  11. The ski centres enjoying 250-300 cm of snow breaking previous records of 09 and 10 and the rest uk experiencing one of the mildest winters. has this Extreme contrast happened before?.
  12. Glencoe is reporting 300 cm of snow. Snow up the ski centres have broken the 2009-10 and december 2010 record.
  13. Just came back From A day Trip to Glencoe. Anybody disappointed with this mild winter should venture up the Ski Centers. The snow up there is just insane and may well have broken the record snowfalls of 2009-2010 with glencoe currently having one of the deepest snow depths of any european resorts. The snow was level with cables at many places and the main basin t-bar was completely buried under huge amounts of snow. Websites are reporting 300 cm of snow. Anybody tired of this dreadful winter should have a go at the ski centers.
  14. Glencoe 150 cm of Snow Nevis range 130 cm of snow Cairngorm 120 cm of snow Thats just Epic Amounts.
  15. This winter might not be a good one For urban areas but Scotland's Ski areas Are loaded at the moment..If only i had my university near the highlands Glencoe 150 Cm Nevis range 130 Cm Cairngorm 120 Cm
  16. Lowest of this Winter according to met office readings has been Braemar which recorded -8.1 C and tyndrum which recorded -7.7. Still weird to see no minus double digits for highlands.
  17. We are talking about annual averages not places that record extremes. There are many examples where the place recording the coldest extreme is not necessary the coldest annual place eg Dalwhinnie and Braemar.
  18. interesting answers for England anybody know the annual average for each? What about towns in wales?
  19. Well If you google Coldest low lying Place in UK all the 300 meter towns in Scotland pop up with the term "low Lying" Used in it.What i meant was towns in england and wales that have the coldest annual temperature.
  20. Any town that's Around 100-350 m high. For Scotland Its: 1.Dalwhinnie 6.3 C 2.Leadhills 6.76 C 3.Braemar 6.81 C. Never found any Particular towns for England or Wales.
  21. I have been searching for the coldest low lying(on average)place for both England and Wales but Didn't find any particular towns mentioned. My friend says its either redesdale camp,Benson or chesham for England and sennybridge for wales. You guys have any idea what's the Average annual coldest low lying areas for both countries?
  22. One of the posters suggested climate battle should be between two contrasting climates. So this is a climate battle between one of the coldest and cloudiest places in uk vs one of the warmest and sunniest locations. Dalwhinnie Yearly high Average =10 C. Yearly low average= 3 C. Annual sunshine = 1077.2 Hr Rain = 1304 mm Average Days Of lying snow = 50-70. Record Low = -21.7 C. Bognor reggis Yearly high average = 14.1 C. Yearly low Average = 8 C. Annual sunshine = 1920.8 hours Record High = 31.5 C. Dalwhinnie is the coldest inhabited place in Britain with an annual temperature of 6.6 C and holds the record for UK all time lows of June ,September and October. Bognor reggis holds the title for being the sunniest town in United Kingdom. So which one do you people prefer? Snowy, cold dalwhinnie or warm sunny Bognor reggis
  23. Glencoe Right now This is tempting for the coming weekend.
