Ok so After Having climate battle between aviemore and buxton most people preferred aviemore. Lets have a battle between arguably two of the Snowiest cities in UK. Aberdeen Yearly Max temp = 12 C. Yearly Min temp = 5.1 C. Sunshine = 1435.7 hours Rain = 814.9 mm. Average days of snow Falling = 35 Inverness Yearly max Temp = 12.5 C. Yearly Min Temp = 5.5 C. over the Course of next 5 days jet2ski is reporting 36 cm of snow for glencoe.

Well the Scottish highlands and towns in Aberdeenshire begs to differ but apart from those areas yes not much snow.

Coldest of the winter so far has been braemar -8.8 C. This should have be in double digits by now.

Only Aviemore And braemar seems to have any settling snow despite the disappointing mild December.
