First day it has got above 0c since sunday , after a low of -5.3c last night the temp rose to the dizzy heights of +2.1c today but it has already started falling and currently it's back down to -0.1c, the skies are clearing and it looks like it's gonna be a cold one again tonight

I'm back at work today so i don't have the benefit of my weather station , but i've just been out and the car thermometer is reading -2c, it's also very grey

Currently -3.6c :lol:

I suppose living this side of the pennines does have it's advantages (max -0.1c today) , even if it does rarely snow

It never got above -0.1c all day , i can't remember this happening in the 19-20 years i've lived here, but it happened occasionally when i was in Brum 61-89...so i suppose i've just witnessed my first North West ice day :lol: :lol: Currently down already to - 1.8c...could have the coldest night so far this winter,one night in early December it dropped down to -6.9c

Dropped to -3.9c last night, today has been another gloriously sunny day with the temp up to 4c, which was higher than yesterday , but it has dropped to 0.5c now , so another hard frost is on the cards

Beautiful winters day here, white frost everywhere, temp dropped to -3.7c overnight , currently at -1.8c..off out to take my son Rugby training now , think i'd better wrap up

Can't believe how sunny is it today , the forecast was for dull grey skies with a very small chance of some brightness , however the skies are blue with just some very high strattus(i think)...maybe it will go frosty after all tonight

Been quite mild here, but apart from an hour or so this morning (11.00 ish) it hasn't stopped raining since yesterday lunchtime

This is awebcam from Sweden's ,most northerley church village, there is no snow at the moment but they had some last weekend and i'm sure it won't be long before the real stuff starts. Sweden webacm

I have to agree (although i may have used a more graphic term ) , but i was fortunate in the sense that i spent 16 days of it in Sunny South East Spain B) B) , the 1/2 a month i spent in wet wigan was awful

Well , having returned back from South-East Spain yesterday after 16 days of near perfect weather (Sunny and temps maxing at between 29c-33c), i was hoping for a bit of nice weather to ease me back into reality , but all i see is anti-cyclinic gloom, i have kept in touch via Sky News whilst out in Spain and i know the the weather has been pretty poor over the past couple of weeks (and the summer in general up here in the NW)... as far as i can see there is no prospect of any settled weather unless you really journey into F.I.....Ah well i'd better go and cut the jungle down that has appeared in my back garden..and dream of the 27th October (when we go to Egypt for a week!!! B)

Hopefully we can have a warm one, i would like to think somewhere in the region of 18c but my head says different so given the synoptics for the next week or so i'll go for a coolish 15.8c :o

Yes i saw that , it had me baffled , there was also a smokey smell in the air here in Wigan yesterday , it was only when i watched the local news last night that i realised it must have drifted across from the moors..Hopefully the rain has helped to put it out

Massive storm here about 16.00 today , heavy rain and Thunder and lightening overhead ...this all followed a hot sunny day , i was at a Rugby Festival in Leigh with my son this morning and i've got the classic 'vest' burn now

I don't for one minute consider my weather station 'official' but yesterday it recorded 26.8c and today 25.8c....believe me it is been very warm
