    After a glorious end to the day yesterday when the temp reached 21.3c in my south facing back garden (we even had our tea outside at 6.00pm), Today is the opposite , torrential rain since about 7 or 8 this morning (thats when i woke up), still mild but very very wet :lol: :lol: No BBQ for us today

    Saw what looked like a large funnel cloud over St Helens (i could see it from where i was in Wigan) about an hour ago, don't know if it was just a strange shaped cloud but it definatly looked as though it could've developed into a tornado, i didn't have a camera with me but i wish i had , has anyone seen anything tonight , and are the conditions right for tornados to form?

    We're looking at temps of + 4-9c over the next few days and calling it severe, as much as i love snow and wish for cold weather in Winter that is pushing it a bit far....i hope we get some snow , but whatever we get , it will not be anywhere near severe(even with the wind chill)

    All this talk of 'Severe Weather' is laughable.......i dread to think what would have happened on this board,if it had been around in the 60's/70's and 80's...when cold snaps really were severe, i'm sure they were even worse further back ,but i don't remember them (i was born in '61)

    Reached a max of 5.5c today 0.2c less than yesterday , hopefully the min can exceed the -7.4c of last night , it's already down to 2.5c and the sun is still out

    Great Sunny day today albeit a bit chilly, max temp 5.7c last might it dropped to a bitter -4.7c (coldest night so far this year) tonight is forecast to go even lower , i reckon we could see -6 to -7c around here tonight

    It reached 16.0c here today and it felt very warm in the sun , i sat outside and fell asleep, it was just like summer

    I think Blackpool wins as being the least snowy place in Scotland :lol: , well i know it's not strictly in Scotland but there's more scots there than anywhere else outside of Glasgow and Edingburgh i reckon

    Just took my daughter into the town centre andwe had the most torrential rain i've seen for a long time ,and the sky went really dark, car thermometer read 4c.
