  1. First 21C of the year. No marginal about it feels genuinely warm.
  2. Back on track after the unforecast cloud. 19C sunny.
  3. GFS on its own, normally we could safely rubbish it, but precedent has been set too many times already this year for the GFS showing an awful run to be on its own not just against other models but even against its own ensembles in, yet still come out on top. This should be a 0.1% chance of happening given how many are against it, but this year I'd give it a coin toss.
  4. Awful. Met office off by hundreds of miles again.
  5. I've noticed the temperature really struggles to increase during the afternoon this year. Only increased to 19C from 18C in the last 3 hours.
  6. Fair As long as it's sunny and comfortably warm in short sleeves I'm happy. Sauna engineer by the sound of it.
  7. 18C , barely a cloud in the sky, light breeze. Proper heat can wait until summer, this is perfect late Spring weather.
  8. May 2020 had a brief northerly, where it was still sunnier than every spell of weather we've had so far this year until possibly the current one. Other than that the month was pretty much perfect and as you say there's no comparison. No need to bring other years down to try to dress up this disgrace of a year.
  9. A bit of cloud this afternoon but still almost all sunshine. We've leaped into summer in one day here with indoor temperature jumping to 20C. Finally no long sleeves.
  10. Same here not one cloud, indoor temp finally comfortable at 18.6. it's taken until late May but we finally have our first sunny and warm spell.
  11. Somehow the sun's been out for a good half hour now in the middle of this front.
  12. Yeah today's a write off but weekend is looking perfect
  13. Good start today already 16C but the inevitable midday cloud is building.
  14. For late May 15C is below average for most of England, quite a bit below average for Southeast England.
  15. It's your lucky year surely as we've been without it all Spring.
  16. Copy of yesterday really, just a bit more cloud about. 15C. The sad thing is in late May and 2C below average this is still one of this Spring's better days.
  17. 15C and loads of sunny spells. The much hyped warm spell of Saturday has already been matched in temperature and bettered by sunshine.
  18. Maybe your spot got extremely lucky dodging the showers. Met office description does say loads of thundery showers in late May and some in early June too. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/binaries/content/assets/metofficegovuk/pdf/weather/learn-about/uk-past-events/summaries/uk_monthly_climate_summary_201805.pdf https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/binaries/content/assets/metofficegovuk/pdf/weather/learn-about/uk-past-events/summaries/uk_monthly_climate_summary_201806.pdf
  19. Late May/early June had loads of thunderstorms with a similar pattern of high pressure to the North and shallow Iberian lows regularly bumping into the South
  20. Looks like a 2018 repeat exact same time of year as well. Let's hope that continues into rest of June and July.
  21. A sunnier version of Saturday really, so not that bothered. In fact doing better as it was 10C at this point, today it's 13C.
  22. A lot hazier than I'd like but already warmer than yesterday's max. 17C.
  23. There is no excuse to have a nowcast saying it's sunny when you can just look out the window and see it's cloudy.
