  1. ok. surely this is all F.I. stuff, i think it has been said on here 2-3 days,ok maybe 4 after that forget it !! i sat here wed thurs night reading the OMG its happening mon/tuesday posts. Friday now !! OMG its happening wed/thurs now. slow down boys !! like someone has said the meto aren`t breaking their necks to warn us are they ? and you know if god forbid london should be getting anything the world is ending!! one person has said upgrade another downgrade and thats just this run the ecm comes out later and then there`ll be more up / downi suppose. ok now can somebody tell us just what is happening now with this run thankyou!!!!

  2. Well its gone from a `BEASTERLY ` to a Northerly to sleety and cold ! what a way to spend the last couple of days glued to the forum for what? Nothing !! :yahoo: lets see what happens now in this next set of charts, hopefully i can start telling people its gonna snow here next week. and thanks those of you that keep it simple and not too many technical terms !! :)

  3. Yes as others have noted the HiGH is much better alligned on this run for the goodies to come to the Uk rather than Majorca and Italy. This looks like being a much better run for the Uk than the 06z

As others have also noted could be a few snow flurries in East Yorks, East Anglia and Eastern Scotland as early as Sunday on this run

    Paul S

BUT... please remember us that arn`t so clever and do a simple yes it is going to snow because etc it saves all the stupid questions !! thanks. kev

Thanks Paul, and yes SQ 1 even i can see this !! :D

  4. Kev if you have a question on the charts you could always PM the member who posted the post you are unsure of this would save having to trawl through all the will it snow post. If you spend time reading what is said you can normally pick up the general gist of things as with other hobbies it takes time and lots of reading to begine to understand maybe try the learners area as a start to give you the basics of model reading.

Thanks S Q 1. off topic i know but. i have , i do and again always reading but... must be my age and still i cant sometimes grasp it thanks again back to reading :o

  5. Not long for charts now. before this gets deleted just a couple of things.. Please keep the technical side of chart reading going ( its the only way to learn ) !! BUT... please remember us that arn`t so clever and do a simple yes it is going to snow because etc it saves all the stupid questions !! thanks. kev

Having read that again it doesn`t sound right but you get my drift..Oops :o

  6. There is no right or wrong just forecasts. All models vary and so do the ensembles. FI starts on Sunday at the moment. I am actualy supprised how bullish the Meto have been today I expected them to sit on the fence a bit longer. 12z has min of 8c in the SE on Tues night on the 06z it had a hard frost! I expect this to be on the warm side of the ensembles and who know what option the 18z will give us!?

Thanks for the reply Tim before this gets deleted i`ll be quick. exactly it is so confusing !

even TWS is saying the same so what chance have i got the main cold looks too far over for my eyes ( but they`re dodgy ) !

  7. to me on that chart looks northeasterly.

Thanks mate, must be my brain going cider muddled now G.P has posted one !! Someone said sometime this weekend on here about having a simpler version of technical ( does that make sense ? ) it would certainly help the readers and not knowledgable amongst us !!!

  8. very dull here, local radio keeps threatening us with 50-60mph gusts, meto site doesn`t even have a warning out for us ( east mids ). So who is kidding who again? meto, or local radio and from where do they get their info ? sorry if on wrong thread mods ! thanks kev

just heard another forecast potential for 60mph gusts and heavy rain !

  9. Breaking NewsStrong Winds | Midlands & South of England.

    13 November 2009

The Met Office has warned of strengthening winds this evening and overnight. Gusts in excess of 60 mph are expected to develop across the Southwest during the early hours. These strong winds will affect roads across the Midlands and the remainder of Southern England during Saturday morning.

From the highways agency site. I knew i wasn`t going crazy !!

  10. I'm sorry, don't mean to be rude...but what is your point? I know there are no warnings for the Midlands. I know that the main area of interest is for the far SW and along the south coast. I'm just happy that some lively weather is coming!

yes mate no probs, and please dont take me the wrong way ! i thought earlier we had a warning of strong winds ( ok not like south ) and rain, I`m out gigging tonight and my boss hates wind she thought she was in on her own with strong gusts !! now its all changed !!

  11. The Met Office wind speeds have been updated. At the moment, the highest predicted gusts I've seen is 77mph for Plymouth, with gusts into the high 60s or touching 70mph across the south coast - 76mph for the IOW.

Here, some decent gusts into the low 50s, which is not bad.

check the warning page my friend, nothing for us !! no warnings etc

  12. Hi, You can see the METO global (not meso) 06Z run on Plymouth(I don't really want to distribute it as the METO are very precious and have recently had this output taken from Bob Hart's page when they learnt about it). and compared to the previous one.

The info came from the Radio I believe.

Cheers mate i understand ! and thanks mods.
