  1. Could someone please explain what drivers are behind the chunk of vortex that has sat north west of the UK since time and memorial is this hindering a cold outbreak for us sorry if this appears incredibly naive but I have to learn
  2. YES!! It's absolutely fantastic when you get two experienced people putting across their theories and takes on what might happen - but it is made so so so much harder if snipes and negative angles begin to influence the otherwise terrific takes on things
  3. Amidst the negative posts this one surfaces like a green shoot amongst the dung pile yes output will always change but the trends are still there
  4. Let's hope so Daniel. To be fair anything modelled has been very transient to my eyes in terms of what we have actually seen here in Kent. Yes, there's been a few snow flakes but nothing of any note. I agreeee, something worthwhile now please hoping the experts are onto something. February can be an excellent month to deliver cold. Proper cold
  5. How it's not that nasty one that last for weeks and doesn't ease up at all some of my mates have had pneumonia and chest infections
  6. Of course not it's East Kent crappy here cmon mate you should know better! Herne Bay saw a few flakes in the wind and as sad as it sounds..... thats actually an improvement on ALL of last year
  7. Were you thinking it might be snow oh dear dear dear reality bomb for some.
  8. Ok true on that one run and yes thinking about it under clear skies temps will drop away won't they? But if the daytime temps are low teens how does that fare for the rest of Jan into Feb?
  9. What's your location buddy? Also, as Nick Sussex would put it GFS is a horror show with the high slap bang over us and not retrogressing anywhere fast
  10. Let's hope you're right it's been appalling here in East Kent
  11. I hardly think five years is impatient u less you want to argue otherwise
  12. Oh sleet how delightful there's nothing quite like a meaningful upgrade .... So spoilt I'll have to dig out my rose tinted glasses so I can pretend it's exciting and when I make it back indoors from the snow drift I'll dig out my shorts and t shirt in readiness for the blowtorch high next week (a dead cert)
  13. I would be more than happy to be proven wrong . Also even if it were to fall as snow it would Be transient and would Melt rapidly at the slightest increase in dew points or temps so hardly worth getting hyped up about to be fair. What I'd like to see (at least modelled) would be an easterly then it's game on for our little corner
  14. Categorically NO. The GFS shows rain for most if not ALL southern England south of the m4 I'm afraid expect cold rain and you won't be disappointed (again) some people never learn
  15. F knows! one of the most intriguing mysteries of life like why dont we get any f'ing snow in the poxy South eastEast
  16. Sarcasm at its best and tbh 200% warranted. Bang on, if rain and mild is forecast it never fails to deliver. A chance of white stuff called snow and NAH .... don't be silly !! only prolonged northerlies/North easterlies/ easterlies deliver for the South East corner when will we learn not to be stupid enough to get our hopes up
  17. If moving was an easy option there'd be an earthquake caused by the stampede
  18. It's been abysmal. This south oeast corner really is the pits when it comes to gettin anything interesting. Bet ya bottom dollar it will be windy and rainy if that's bloody forecast it's a dead very it will happen poxy weather
