  1. Sadly didn’t have access to my thermometer today, 29c or so appears to be what we maxed at.

Awful to be in between nightshifts for. No AC (will buy in the winter), despite a fan etc barely 4 hours of sleep. Bedroom was 27c at midday.

Even worse ahead tomorrow. Will have access to my themometer so i’ll be very interested to see what we peak at, I suspect the highest i’ve ever recorded >30c. Somewhere well to my East will probably set a new Scottish record.

  2. Lovely day. If it wasn’t for the forthcoming weather I would describe today as warm.

21.4c, full sunshine and light winds. Glorious.

The weather, after a very slow cloudy start, from mid june has been perfect. Getting dry now but we did have some rain end of June. Looks like we’ll get some more soon

is it just me or have a lot of the charts ‘downgraded’ for up here, especially toward the east? we were seeing widespread 32/33 for areas even as far north as moray, now mid/late 20s at best and only areas scratching 30c are right at the border

Still some charts showing 33/34c in the very far SE. I think that will be the most likely result with 32c breached in the SE.

Met office now shows 30c for Tuesday which I think is the highest i’ve ever seen it. Usually in my sheltered back yard we get 1/2c above what the met office say.

I do think somewhere in Scotland is going to set a new record for the country on Tuesday.

What is our warmest minimum ever temp?

I expect with the cut off low being in play there very well could be thundery activity though I don't think the models will be able to pick up any features (troughs etc) possibly until the latter part of this coming week.

yes more than an eyebrow raiser that and the GFS 12z well that's +19C 850s into the forth James Earl Jones Reaction GIF  204-7UK.GIF?10-12 gfs-1-204.png?12

The magical 20c 850s covering me. Wonder what surface temps we’d get with that…

Anyway it’s one ICON run so a firm outside bet but one to watch and within the realms of possibility

EDIT: GFS at it too. I spy a 28c for me next Monday, a couple 29s elsewhere in Scotland. Hmmm…

  5. A cracking summers day, 26c according to my thermometer.

Haylage got turned today and now off to the beach with the dogs to cool off. GF is away paddleboarding, what a weekend.

Don’t need any hotter, next weekend is creeping up on the GFS (25-27c). Nothing like down south though

  6. Today was a lovely day with it far less windy than of late (gales recently, unusually strong for June).

Can’t say I can relate to the dryness. 41mm for the month so far with ‘20-30mm’ forecast for tomorrow as i’m on the edge of the yellow weather warning.

Average for the month is just over 80mm so I suppose the month will come in drier than average overall. Some heat would be nice as it’s been lacking.

Depends where you live of course.

It is very Autumnal here this morning with worse to come next week.

The west coast of NI/Republic are certainly in for a bit of a battering. The forecast is bad enough for myself over the water from you. I guess it’ll even things up after the best weather of the summer so far

Fine evening for run to meet train at Aviemore. Was 10c at home and fell to 6c over moor road. Cairngorms 20220419_195355(1).thumb.jpg.25b52bdec647450892d62993e8916e44.jpgstiil have some very large patches of snow so it was  a wintry looking sunset there this evening. Ben Wyvis and mountains to west have even more snow left. Cooler nights on the way so it looks like it will last a bit longer.

I certainly hope to see at least a bit of snow tomorrow when I tackle a few of the munros in the Lawers range (including Ben Lawers) but we shall see as that sun is very strong.

A gorgeous day in the tropical south, an easterly is always wanted down here. Clear blue skies, wind is pretty minimal and temperatures of 17c so far.

A month or two ago we'd have been jumping for joy at a chart like this, but now, especially after a week of warmth, not so much. Just in time for school Easter hols too.

Cba with it and it’s nailed on with energy rising 54% from the first of next month…. Hopefully ensures my ski holiday has plenty snow so every cloud!
