  1. Certainly not, have you seen the potential slightly inland tomorrow? :O Seems to be really trying to kick off here, I've had a few more brief heavy downpours.
  2. Looking good for this area today, already had a heavy downpour meaning good signs for later. Quite a bit of crud around this morning which is limiting things but it is breaking up for later. However, I feel tomorrow will be better and I mean better, possibly even historical.
  3. Shower developed within 2 miles of here to my north instantly, some decent convection around.
  4. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I highly doubt that's going to reach you, it's moving southward. Looking at tomorrow, looks quite good here, very light and variable winds suggesting on a convergence line.
  5. Yes, but sun amounts also contribute to it, I think tomorrow looks a lot better for this area and I may not have to chase.
  6. Can't really see it getting better around here unless more sun breaks through.
  7. ESE of here, not an actual thunderstorm just a torrential downpour.
  8. Convection kicking off here now with several rain shafts in the vicinity, I've no idea whether to stay or go... Seems like everything wants to avoid here...
  9. Same for here too, though everything seems to be already kicking off east of here. Torrential downpour to my SE, I'd expect an imminent sferic from that.
  10. Tempted to go to the coast, but might be no point. Looks like it's exploding further east...
  11. Showers seem to be developing on a line just to my south, potential convergence line? Seems to be kicking off to my west now skies are brightening that way.
  12. Nice downpour just went to my south, the radar looks better than it does in real life though. LOL.
  13. Clouds turning darker here with distinct rain shafts moving across the southern sky, hoping for something torrential later.
  14. Yes, I saw that just a bit too far west here, but certainly not far enough to not chase. XD Actually, re-thinking that actually it might be.
  15. Interesting, thought it was looking good for this area, obviously not.
  16. Today and especially tomorrow looking very tasty for this area, not seen chance like this for a very long time!
  17. I agree with everyone here, like I've said recently, I don't want to start driving over about 40 miles from home for thunderstorms even if they are going to be incredibly severe, as you say money isn't exactly plentiful for fuel at my age either... It's incredibly difficult to work out whether to chase or not, but if you don't and you miss something, you kick yourself for not going and the only negative really of chasing and not seeing anything is wasting fuel but you still manage to get out and explore the countryside!
  18. Interesting risk tomorrow extending into Somerset, but simply cannot risk having another bust in the middle of Somerset, especially after the really intense torrential downpours of the past 2 days. Tempting to chase, but most likely won't.
  19. Yes, but even if the cloud developed, it may still not mean thunderstorms...
  20. You can't make an assumption it will thunder just from a cloud type I'm afraid.
