looking at the latest radar trend, I reckon for the next couple of hours anywhere east of a line from Eastbourne to Sheerness will probably do ok - west of that - forget for now
Snow rampers tend to be popular on this site, particularly if you can present your posts in a way that it makes you look like you know what you are talking about.
Before there is a collective meltdown - worth comparing the radar an hour ago to now.
If the trend continues and it can get a bit of westward momentum - it might turn out all right - not for everyone - but some will get a result.
Well its improved a bit in the last hour as some more banding features seem to be developing in the north sea.
However it's still a bit to marginal with the temps at the moment.
The heavier PPN has really struggled to get west of the M20 for most of the night.
There does seem to be a more organised pulse developing now - hopefully that will do the job!
Stuff in the estuary starting to look a bit more robust as well - perhaps all is not lost. Could do with losing a degree or two off the air temps and dewpoints however.
Looks like the temps and dewpoints have started to flatline also - predictably just the wrong side of marginal.
Although lower upper temps should push them down eventually.
Just popped out and its still a bit drizzly. Looks like something a bit heavier is in the offing in about half and hour - maybe that will give it the oomph that it needs. Still doesn't feel quite cold enough.
