  1. yep agreed seemed this may cause winds to taper a bit. Not expert is there something trying to develop near Liverpool and Manchester.
  2. pics of flood so far from our paper http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/pictures/PICTURES-Severe-flooding-hits-Grimsby/pictures-22291308-detail/pictures.html this made me say ah what a gentleman http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/BREAKING-Heavy-rain-causing-flooding-North-East/story-22290643-detail/story.html
  3. sorry mis-understanding not sure then I do see winds in different directions that's what made me think.you was refering.
  4. amazing that it was like a waterfall thunder still being heared like Muffelchen said not sure Muffelchen think this could mean possible tornado risk at the hook
  5. thunder and lightening 1 strike but nice shelf cloud too rolling through at quite a speed
  6. is that a squal line developed looking at raintoday line of rain from Sprunehorpe to Portsmouth Is the any reason why our neighbours town changes to Sprunehorpe lets say Brigg in north lincolnshire
  7. rain eased here now but there was micro burst of wind which sounded like roar backing up the mets warning but do think it needs go further north slightly we out of the wind warning. 27.9 mm so far here. Floods reported in Grimsby.
  8. think we getting abit convection rain at moment its really ramped up in rainfall. 50 mm rainfall rate at the moment
  9. birmingham airport area has two wind directions opposite could this develop rotation
  10. nope feeling in my bones this will kick off but later than expected
  11. could be fun for us if this kicks off its convection in Lincolnshire. Rain just hit us now.
  12. thanks skulltheruler. I am also wondering if this will cause a tidal surge in the north sea afterwards especially if it sits there.
  13. this cambridge weather just clipping us but most will pass to the east. Worry for east coast this massive one coming through further south this looks like might be bad for us east coasters. We have had 11 mm so far nothing like worst hit
  14. I think we avoided worst rain louth got a pasting http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/VIDEO-Heavy-rain-leads-flash-flooding-Louth-area/story-22220478-detail/story.html
  15. thanks for that. Seems to have stalled here on top of us
  16. thanks Nick F this storm something the thunderstorms eased but the rain is bad my rain gauge in now much better shape yippee. It almost matches the grimsby & cleethorpes from real weather to degree slightly short but we have had 25 mm/hr at one point 11.49am. There's says 6.9 mm so far compared to 3.9 mm on mine.
  17. humber too low lying land winds that strong forcing north sea up the humber will cause a lot flooding
  18. actually agree my fear people wont take warnings serious. Think met too quick call a miss UK anouncement this been spread by media. I can only hope its not severe it passes tamely with nice thrill of storm and no lives are at risk.
  19. just had shower from storm system which now in north sea looks like attempting to funnel with lovely vortices in development. Just been reading about bertha it downgrading noticed this still can hit anywhere but news focus is most likely, storm tracking. I just checked latest its speed gone upto 43 kts whether its upgrading again too early. http://www.towndock.net/weather/tropical-system-3
  20. missed the fun yesterday but 2 storms here. Another is turns out there was few notches in some storms Tony Gilbert showed one here its a bit further down I cant post pics from here. http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/104468-convective-outlook-sat-2nd-aug-2014/ Today Tony Gilbert has moderate risk over scotland. Crikey bit strong breeze here. 15 mph winds with gusts of 31 mph getting average of 26mph. Was this scheduled
  21. looking at sat 24 this growing but think the north sea will grab it before gets too big. Heading our way too http://www.sat24.com/de/gb
  22. thinking next three days might be some fun. Thanks Nick F for the forecast everyone else who provides them. Just reading forecasting it seems it shifted southwards and the jet unlikely to be factor now according Tony Gilbert though still good chance organised thunderstorms. Can read latest here at the bottom. http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/104422-convective-outlook-thurs-31st-july-2014/ storm clouds developing already huge plumes
