Yes, looks like the wind direction is changing too, so it might corral these storms. Met Office app shows a complete 180 turn around over the next couple of hours. Seems I was wrong!

The storm between us and Ledbury looks to scoot past us, up into North Wales, I think. The stuff further south might get us if it expands. Or we'll see more cells pop up elsewhere. My view is South/ South East, so a good vantage point of the horizon (not as high up as you though!).

I suppose a cold December could be over compensated by a mild February and January?
If correct I would be happy as I don't mind a mild late winter if early winter is cold, after last year New Years BBQ I would be glad of a cold Xmas period.

You can appreciate just how dangerous it is to be in water in a hurricane by taking a close look at the Dominator's bodywork in those pictures- where it's been submerged, it's covered in hundreds of dents.

It's hard to believe I can see the storm over Oxford from here now!
