  1. Just watched BBC SE forecast and it only went up to 8pm on Thursday eve. Taped and watched ITV regional weather hardly any mention of areas effectex by snow on that one and only went out to 3pm. Guess they are still not sure of where the front will end up. I feel sorry for people who do not have the heads up that we all do in here
  2. Kold can you post the charts plz so I can look at them for my area thanks SQ1
  3. I don't think so neil. Looks as if the ppn has peped up on the back edge. Don't know if it will decay as forecast by the time it arrives here
  4. The band is moving very slowly. It has stopped raining here now. I think we are going to get snow over us for longer than forecast.
  5. Stripyfox I think things were so much easier when we were kids and had none of these worries. Blue bell hill gets bad in snow but we can't stop going about our daily business as usual though. Cause snow may not effect us badly that's life.
  6. The low pressure seems to be a bit further north to me and has joined up with the front. Am I seeing this right? And does this mean the front has been given more energy and will not decay as much during the day on its travels to us in the SE?
  7. Thank you jo for popping in to keep us updated. Part of me wants snow the other part does not. Because my daughter is 7mths pregnant and drives from Maidstone to Medway for work.
  8. You can just about make out it's 2.5 on my car thermometre in Coxheath kent
  9. I have not got Twitter so didn't know. Maybe someone can post it on here
  10. Lol Canadiancoops. At least being on Blue ell Hill gives you a great chance for the white stuff when I get sleet. Let's hope all the northerners will be looking at our part of the world with snow envy come Friday
  11. No one can make a realistic map of predicted snow fall. It's a hard thing to predict and depends on so many things. I would love some snow on weds though.
  12. I like this. Just been in mad thread and according to cherry picked charts you could be forgiven thinking us in the south/se will miss out and get rain. I do feel sorry for newbies looking at that thread.
  13. What do you mean snob? I don't know if the snow for us will happen but I wonder if the comments on the mad thread come from frustration that they might miss out. I do not like that thread but it is like a car crash you just have to keep peeking lol
  14. I may be wrong but if the temps higher up are cold and if the ppn is heavy enough then it should mix out the warm air. I watched the meto forecast today and they stressed how uncertain they are for the low. And even said it had not formed. So we can all speculate about what will happen but can never be sure
  15. Just run the NWEX-MR precipitation type animation and it does not look good for Kent for snow over the next week. I know I should not look as these forecasts are not reliable but couldn't resist.
  16. I like risks getting pushed further south. I am not going to get excited about Tues into weds until maybe Sunday eve as even a small change could make all the difference as to who gets snow and who misses out. But I am happy with cold temps
