  1. skies have gotten very dark here and now it's raining with proper big raindrops
  2. I don’t get the people in the models output thread getting so depressed with the outlooks, yes it can be much better but can be very much worse. I’m sure many places here have had non-summery conditions and i thought here would be terrible, but these past few days have actually been fine. The wind is the only thing i can say is a bit annoying but the weather has been fine here with a few showers now and then but right now it’s brilliant sunshine and barely a cloud in the sky. only around 3 days ago it was overcast with the wind there but that has been it with it being fair skies since then. there has been a few heavy downpours today but we really need it here from not having so that was fine. But yeah it really not been that bad here is actually two pics i took yesterday to show a friend who loves the landscape
  3. Got some nice cumulus clouds outside my window right now
  4. oh boy, i've just woken up shortly and when I looked out of my window there is already big cumulus clouds around me
  5. Can see flashes from my house right now at 1am, i was wondering what was flashing out of my window and it must be that cell east of Deal giving off from time to time some lightning
  6. nothing here just overcast skies and incredibly humid, it does look like some rain creeping up from the south but having low hopes anything will come out of it
  7. the showers here looked pretty dark, i bet if it was 30 degrees or so they would've been great thunderstorms
  8. feel like we've gone back to May now with a constant cold wind again, whilst there might not be rain when that sun goes in it is freezing if you're in that wind. I don't care if it's in the low 20s it still is nice and pleasant in the sun, that wind needs to f off until it suited for autumn
  9. There we go Scorching two-week heatwave to hit UK as temperatures 'set to soar to 40C' WWW.LBC.CO.UK Brits are being told to prepare for a heatwave next month - and it could last as long as two weeks.
  10. indeed, when summer arrives, the far southeast goes from being a grassland to an arid climate almost every year
  11. utterly pathetic here, wrote it in the SE thread but it was a complete disappointment, only had heavy rain and one bit of thunder and now it's all clearing away
  12. welp that was pathetic, just had one bit of lightning with average sounding thunder and now it's all brightening up again
  13. been woken up early due to heat but also heard what i believe was a rumble outside my house but looking at the radar, I expect to catch the tail end of the rain and nothing more
  14. Got some small convection here but doubt anything happening here with it
  15. just noticed right now that exactly 5 years ago, this amazing storm hit my location at night. This is what should've been today except during the daytime but all we got was sodding rain
  16. well here in Kent it just been some heavy at times torrential rain but not a single bit of lightning or thunder, what a waste of a day for activity wise, though we do need the rain so that is something to be happy about
  17. what the **** i turned on the lightning for the weather radar and my computer froze
  18. No rain here yet, had about an hour and a half of sunshine when i got up (10:07am) and around 12pm it became overcast and the humidity raised a lot, the winds have got quite blustery but other than that nothing of interest has happened. Currently at the wye downs
  19. I’m not sure, it wasn’t producing much lightning but now it’s trying to produce some more now, though rain still hasn’t arrived here yet which i thought it would do by now
  20. I think the cell coming towards me is slowly dying, lightning is becoming less frequent and so are the rumbles
  21. Storm is getting closer, lightning is flaring up and the rumbles are getting louder but no rain yet
