Met office now had that supa thunderstorm symbol by Bedford now.. Oh happy days. Getting dark again so maybe round two is starting to come this way. Even If that storm was my lot today

Watching the radar/clouds ..why does my phone still say cloudy with sunny spells????
Anyway,Usually look at the radar before I head out to collect LO so I know if i need an umbrella for us both as we have to walk, be it only 5mins! Seems we are out of the rain for now but I don't trust that, last week I watched a cell split in two before it reached me and out of no where hail and thunder. -
Very shocking! it grew right over us for a change! Looking at the radar i would suggest there will be another in the next 30 mins. Im off up to kempston wood hill to watch hopefully! Good luck fellow bedfordian!
Yep came from taking little one to school and it build up in minutes..Looks amazing and even think we had a funnel cloud from it so hope i can get the pic off my phone. Normally speaking it rains/thunders just after noon (after little one is safe at school) then will do it again at 3pm (when i go to collect her). Good luck to you as well and 'hears' to next few hours!

Some pretty decent lightning going on here atm, off up to the tallest hill i can find! A storm a bedford?? well i never!
Shocking isn't it? Shame it seems to be intensifying as it moves away.

It's is certainly much cooler and fresher here today. Light breeze and the sun is out.
Any cloud looks dirty and and not very thundery. But we have some convection so it's better than nothing.

Had some rain last night at 11pm, hubby thought he had heard a rumble but I think it was a plane
Cool and murky here at the moment with the sun peaking though.
Am either going to have a storm big enough to make up for the last few lacking days or it will be another

Anyway looks like we *may* get some light rain soon according to the radar, but any thing could happen.

It has to rain now because on the way back from collecting LO someone was out washing their drive and the window cleaners just been.

It still has a lot of landfall and then the channel and then still 100's of miles before the storms could hit me.
*keeps calm*
I actually just expect a bit of rain atm. Anymore would be a bonus.

Lovely day out there here, feels warmer although the wind which dropped last night is now starting up again. Sky is getting milky with a few puffs of clouds. Considering, I think we will get some rain, but there's time enough to change that to low fog and drizzle. I'm hoping that i'm going to be so wrong and be more like this

Considering the clouds look like they are breaking up as they reach me, I would say my 37% of a storm would more or less hit the mark. But yeah been nosing at the weather long enough to know things can change in a matter of minutes. Today has been painfully frustrating for a lover of storms in my area.

After being 72% then 52% now my area is showing only a 37% chance of a storm oh well, at least there was some hail and thunder last week

Nice sky here in mk now, large patches of alto cumulus castellanus with very dark bases, looks like it's trying to developing into a storm winds got very gusty and swirling around
Just had a peak out as i'm about 20 mins away from you and it looks interesting now. Still nothing on radar to speak off tho but those clouds are moving fast!
get so exciting when there are storms about i forgot to say i'm new here too

Was totally gutted that the further it went from me the more thunder I could hear.
