I'm not going to look at any more forecasts or models for the moment. I couldn't be better placed for a Kent Clipper, and it's absolutely steamy here this morning - feels very muggy indeed. Just going to trust in that humidity and hope that any potential lightning knocks out my Internet so I can postpone working from home and watch the weather for a bit!

Just Rain here in the far SE. To be expected only 40ft ASL. Can't see much turning to snow from any undercutting cold air - and any that does will compete with some very wet ground. Still, further marginal chances this week depending on the margins.
Let's get that cold air rolling in.

Looking at the radar, seems like an organised band of showers just off the coast on the northerly, but shifting a tiny bit westwards. Probably would fall as rain anyway, but it's still nippy
Just more rain... hope it's not just a sheet of ice by morning!

Does anybody know what those showers in East Anglia are doing, just wondering if they are rain sleet or snow, now we have a northerly, won't reach down here, just wondering for when thing turn northeasterly Kate tomorrow/Sunday.

Iciest it's been in this little corner of East Kent - shirt drive to work was fought with frosty patches and a couple of stranded vehicles. Even taking it very cautiously had a little slip n slide! Take care out there if you're on the road this morning SE folks.

As expected cold miserable rain here. Maybe as it clears east and the cold air digs in we might see some flakes?
Looks like as the centre of the low pulls SE, the second band of precip, currently over London/Essex will drag southwards and potentially give a little bit of back-edge sleet and snow over East Kent. Think we'll need a bit of altitude asl to see anything decently snowy settling though. I'm about 30m asl and right on the coast, so no hope here. Fingers crossed for an easterly soon.

Keeping an eye on East Kent, NW radar has a few small showers coming in on a North easterly. It's certainly freezing here at the moment, could be a flurry or two if they make it over land.

Storm's coming!
Apologies, just looked at the forecast and although it felt more like we should get a Tstorm on Sunday, it actually looks almost nailed on tonight.
Excite!

Just made it to work, breezy and drizzle in East Kent, winds haven't really picked up yet. No message from my employer saying not to travel - my department assesses goods unloaded from lorries so I'm expecting our work to be patchy today. Should finish at two but I'm thinking of hanging on until 3 before driving home (only about 7 miles away)
Stay safe everyone. Kettle on.

Superb photos there. Take a closer look underneath the very edge of the structure on the right hand side, there appears to be a very thin funnel cloud. Is it possible? Do you have other photos to compare?
So glad you spotted this I was also unsure. I'll compare with my other shots later on

Going to head to Farthing Common as it's the only decent viewpoint with a S/SW view in my area that's doesn't just overlook sea going to leave it a couple more hours yet as things aren't likely to get spicy (meteo term) just yet!

Is it drying up to our south east over Kent. ?
Well I've seen the sun poking through a little this morning. Just had a light shower too. Glass half full me can see a bit of convection going on behind as the air clears. But we should all just be happy to have a glass at all.. right?!

Didn't believe we'd get much more after Sunday and last night. It has snowed continuously, albeit very light fine grains all day. Not added much more, but pleasant to watch from the office. Then just the last few frames of NW radar and it looks like we might get some showers this evening too! Good luck all, especially those who've not had their fair share yet.

Night all, hope for the most part you all got to see some decent falling snow and perhaps an accumulation. There's a little where I am and I do feel lucky, it's the most we've had here for a few years. Not too keen on the drive to work tomorrow, it's only a few miles but it's inland and slightly more elevated, the roads are going to be awful! At least the scenery will be that unique blanket of snow

Really humid here, all the earlier rain turned back into some sort of soup...
