Not much expected today across a large part of England and Wales bar a few heavy showers (possible)... But Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland may see some thundery business.... Post your reports here.
A bright but largely cloudy start to the day, culminating in a brief and light shower by noon, leading onto a glorious afternoon, filled with blue skies and just patchy cumulus clouds. Pleasantly warm this afternoon also.
Wind really increasing here now - quite a gusty East or Northeasterly. Extensive cloud, but still fairly bright. Only 17 degrees C. First of the heavy rain shown on the MetO radar, sweeping into south Devon and Cornwall...
Sunshine and very heavy showers is the theme here today. Because it's been dry so lately, all the water is just running off - some localised flooding possible this afternoon! Cool at 14.7 degrees, breezy Northwesterly.
Who would have thought all that excitement was kicking off in Scotland whilst cloud broke here to give some pleasant afternoon sunshine, despite a strong wind. Boring really, compared to your fireworks!
Awesome pics
It's a very warm morning indeed for south Wales along with the Southwest of England and the Westcountry - temperatures already at 21 or 22 degrees. Hazy sunshine here in between the cumulus clouds. Warm at 20.5 degrees, slight Westerly.
