Yes very fair comment - I posted earlier , its a waste of time looking for anything before the 240 mark , its after then we need to sit and wait , see what turns up , Im still unsure when we should be seeing something to be honest , is in 2 weeks is it 4 weeks in all honesty does anyone really know -

Agreed And again to be boring, I posted weeks ago now that my concern is the lack of eye candy from the output , I was reminded they never come to fruition , but you need to see eye candy in the output if only for the idea the charts are picking up on something , been very little if we are being honest -

Its entirely possible to have 2 weeks of snow - have you just emigrated to the UK ? Your experience of UK winter must be limited -

19 looks good - 16 at the death - 15 good - 14 good -12 at the death -11 okish - 9 at the death - 7 v good - 6 v good - 3 okish -2 stunning I've just gone through the ENS , caution as to where you start judging from , I think guidance has to be taken from the Beeb and The Met and they are looking at the 3rd week in Jan ( potentially ) the above are good runs from 240 onwards , no point looking at anything before if you are searching for a trend. -

I will change the record soon ...I promise , but I was saying this before Xmas, currently everything and has always been at finger tip reach and never getting close enough to grasp. Currently nothing has changed , now todays GFS does show some promise at 200+ but that's FI for sure . If I cast my mind back to before Xmas it was being said " come back in a few days " or " wait till next week" or " once Jan 15th gets into range " well they have been and gone and we are still waiting , just shows LRF's aren't worth the paper they are written on , whether that can be said each year or only when SSW is going on I don't know , but this winter they have been poor. The good thing is this isn't the end of Feb- we have 3 weeks of Jan , 4 weeks of Feb and we have March -

Brilliant chart ,look at the PV and the Atlantic , yes at 384 , but this all has to start somewhere , the blocking we want wont just appear at 96h -

And as I pointed out yesterday - Id go with the Beeb over the models at this range any day - disappointing runs this morning it has to be said , but at least its not 5 weeks down the line. -

Indeed which is as I pointed out at odds with what the Beeb have just shown, I'd love a cold flow with wintry ppn blowing in , but I always go off the TV rather than a computer screen especially at this range -

In terms of LP position - previously explained though, the Beeb don't think it will be snowflake cold - sadly -

Not according to what I've just seen on a forecast - but that's off topic - the set up ( from the Beeb)is similar in terms of the LP going down the East doesn't mean the extent of the cold is the same - or spread of ppn , two different models two variations of what MIGHT happen -

Have to say the Beebs thoughts are at odds with peoples expectations on here , virtually zero in wintry ppn and not overly cold , the 12z snap shop below mirrors the Beebs thoughts -
