Been another lovely day here today. A few Cumulus this morning which gathered and rather darkened this afternoon. Looking out of window now, a lovely clear evening (with a few high clouds).

Well lovely sunny day today, although wind has gotten up this evening. Had some very dark clouds which seem to have passed us by.

A few high clouds with plenty of sunshine. Going to be a lovely day. Best make the most of it as I believe this is the calm before the storm. :lol:

Well nice to see the Azores high trying to ridge in next week, however from next Sunday it looks like the whole event backtracks due to the low pressure encroaching down the ne. Looks like we will be lucky to hit 20C next weekend.

Hi Sizzling Heat, we have had the sunny spells and cloud is now stating to build again. Wonder if we will have any of that rain you had this evening.

Had light rain all morning with heaviest shower around 11am. Finally stopped raining around 3pm and sun came out around 6pm. Wondering if we will see any storms tomorrow.

Hmm, I do not know much about the Holly Frogesque, so thank you for the reply. If it manages to recover, how many years would it take until it first flowered?

Hello there, what a good topic. Could someone offer some advice on a baby holly bush please. I have a tiny bush that grew out of nowhere in my garden a couple of years ago (I think a bird may have left it for me). It was growing in an awkward place so I decided to plant it in a medium sized pot. It has grown to about a foot high. Just one stem with around 12 leaves on it. However, I have not been able to keep it through the recent hot spell. The leaves are now all brown and crispy. The stem is still green so I am wondering if it is rescuable or has it been duly killed off? Would be a shame if I have lost it, so any advice would be gratefully received.
