Light Snow showers now filtering into to the region from the east. This looks similar to the setup on the 17th 18th dec when we had 3 to 4 inches during the night. Good luck everyone.

Yeah we still have snow cover after 13 days too, and like you say the easterly and north westerly both delivered last time. We had the most snow in my area for over 30 years. Fingers crossed again and good luck to everyone else.

Hi guys cant believe this a further inch overnight, i have just measured outside and we are closing in on the magical foot of snow. Currently 10.5 inches at 500ft. The western yorkshire dales are sure looking really pretty at the moment, but overnight temps no lower than 0c and a slow thaw seems to starting.

The conditions are very bad north of colne with between 7 to 10 inches of lying snow.Rumours around here that the salt has nearly run out.Minor roads impassable, but i',m not sure about colne itself. Some places have been dumped on while other nearby have got away with 3 to 4 inches. I hope this helps. I think the Lambcam is situated quite near to colne to give you an idea of the local weather condtions, snow falling as i post. http://www.lambwatch.co.uk/

I just wish i had taken my camera with me today, some houses round where i work had almost a foot of snow on the roofs. It looked more like Switzerland than yorkshire. I will certainly remember Dec 21st 2009 for a long time. Amazing winter wonderland.  -

This is the most snow i have ever seen in my area, i normally have to drive over a 1000ft to see snow. 10 inches at least , snow over wall tops higher up. I'm a snow lover but this is getting silly now. -
Here's a few from Ingleton today at around 450 feet. Its hard to imagine how more there is higher up in the dales.
