Yes dry is good for the areas that need it the most! But from a imby point of view it isn't wet through or water logged. I simply made a statement about MY opinion and where I live and what I would like! Yes its tragic for the flood affected regions and can't imagine the misery they have Been and are going through but the fact some areas are flooded should not stop me being entitled to express my opinion on what weather I would love to have IMBY

I'm Deffo not expecting to see anything to be honest, I think a measly 99m asl really wont be enough, think it might be time for a move...any suggestions? haha. Oh well hope the areas lucky to get the snow enjoy it!

Cold and dry isn't fun! what's the point in cold with no snow, it's like Sun with no heat in summer. I want to go sledging with the kids it's long overdue lol

How many times has ukmo led the pack and been correct? because it really hasnt budged at all! Also if it is correct I know its a good thing, but what would it bring...I just seem to be getting more and more confused lately All I do know is (well I think lol) the gfs looks like its just gone off on one, changing its mind from run to run and the snow chances aren't looking all that good. Would that change if ukmo was actually closer to the mark. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get my head around it all a little bit

Very disappointing! I really was hoping for some snowy upgrades but I had a negative feeling since gfs backed off...even worse now ecm is following suit. Surely gfs still cannot be wrong if ecm is starting to back it.

Is this something else that keeps getting pushed back though aswel, it was Wednesday then Thursday now Friday. Hate being negative but just the feeling I get, unless that's the ups n downs of the MOD thread rubbing off on me, I really really hope I'm being negative over nothing though.

Yes there may be upgrades on the cold and length of it. But I don't see anyone getting excited about much snow potential. Maybe I am missing something but the words dry and cold don't do it for me, cold rain and sleet certainly doesn't

How funny would it be now if the gfs went back to the wonderful boom charts of a few days ago on its next run, the MOD thread would go into meltdown! In all seriousness though I am very disappointed about this incoming cold snap-if it's even worthy of being called that anymore-cold without snow isn't my thing at all! Still some winter left though, but I certainly won't be led up the garden path again if nice eye candy 're appears for the near future, my feet will stay firmly on the ground until said eye candy is imby

So it's gone from epic to a damp squib in a matter of days, I am gutted, was really looking forward to some white stuff. I Was optimistic that maybe the models would start on the upgrades...not so much now at all! always a let down..Oh well what will be will be and me throwing a paddy won't change the weather unfortunately

Love that things might be taking a turn for the better! But my God that model thread ain't half bias to the south, really getting on my last nerve now! All am going to say is thank God for harsh climate and others from the north posting in there on behalf of us northerners or I really wouldn't know where we are at!

Meh! Thursday! The model thread is killing me..excited then gutted then excited and now the wait is killing me too. I hope something pops up before then sick of seeing the rain now as I'm sure many others are, more so than me

There is still lots of winter left and set to turn cold next week. I for one am certainly looking forward to that compared to what we have had to suffer so far. Am I also right at thinking that maybe if we just hold the faith a little longer there is still time for things to change for the positive once the cold is here, or is that just wishful thinking. I think we should keep the faith!! For a little longer anyways I can't hear the fat lady singing just yet!

The mod thread is seriously giving me a headache, are the models as bad as some of the posts in there are making out? I rely on other people's interpretation of them as I don't know where to start in learning how to read them myself.

@vizzy thank you for that fab post, sick of seeing the southerners paddying in the MOD thread, really confusing! Everything crossed for cold and snow next week
