Very wet snowflakes mixed in with the rain here now in Stratford Upon Avon Spot the snowflakes. Sorry about the pic but it was the best I could get A few white lines near the bottom of the pic lol

I am travelling to York early on Thursday and as much as I love the snow I am starting to get nervous as I hate driving in it. Will be watching the forecast VERY closely! Edit Even more nervous after seeing the BBC online forecast of heavy snow 8pm Wed till 2 am Thursday!

Last year I remember watching a link on here for hours when a storm hit America. Has anyone got any links to live cams this year? I've been googling but can't find a good one! Sorry if this is off topic but I am in need of some snow watching and I don't think I will be doing any IMBY any time soon!

Met office gives me flakes...takes them away...puts them back! Getting fed up of this 'will it won't it' and now just going with 'if it does it does and if it don't it don't ! (I know 'don't' isn't grammatically correct but it just sounds better that way)

Not one but two double flakers for early Sunday morning! Banking those before they get taken away from me again!

Solihull snow shield is down!!!! Its SNOWING!!!!! very soggy flakes but at least it's snow

Been popping over to the MOD thread for the past few days and if I'm honest I still don't have a clue if I'm going to see a single flake this winter! I'm hoping for a complete snowfest ASAP but I'm just feeling that this event may not be happening IMBY I'm in need of some positive snow vibes before I move to the dark side and become a mildie !

I am currently planning my next tattoo but this time mine won't be a biggie (already had 7 hours work on my ribs) this is going to be a snowflake so needs to be small but perfectly formed ! Been looking at designs for the last few weeks. Hopefully next week will give me plenty of real ones to get inspiration from Bring on that snow

Got back yesterday from celebrating New Year in the Peak District. Definitely wasn't the snowfest that I had hoped for and experienced last year! Think at the moment I'd be happy with a bit of frost

I lost my static caravan on the Severn in the July 07 floods and will never forget the sight and smell when we had to go in to assess it. This was 2 weeks after the event due to possible health and safety issues from the water contamination. Seeing my personal belongings and my 3 year olds toys in the state they were in was so sad BUT I could walk away and go home to my house. I've just been looking at the river level data around Cumbria and it is breaking all records at the moment. Watching those levels rise make you feel so helpless as you know there is nothing you can do to stop it. Feel so sorry for all those affected. They can't do what I could and walk away and go home. It is their home. It is so sad. i love the weather but it can be so cruel.

Scary weather! Feel so sorry for all those affected by the flooding. It's awful at any time but especially sad just before Christmas
