  1. Back on that rollercoaster again...
  2. Hi Fizz511 It was on my BBC weather app. Took a screen shot because I wanted to grab it before it disappeared lol Just looked on met office and have a flake for 3am Saturday. We shall see...
  3. First snowflake of the season....not going to get too excited yet
  4. For those local to Birmingham (and those who drive past on the M6) - The fort sign has been blown down at the shopping park!
  5. Shall I start the snow dance in eager anticipation of lamp post watching yet? â„ï¸
  6. If I go to my profile and click on my current picture I think I can then change it by uploading one from file. That's how I used to do it. Does that not work for you?
  7. Is there really the possibility of wintry showers at the weekend? Best get dusting the cobwebs off the lamp post.... Not sure I should believe what I read in the local paper no matter how much I want to
  8. It was the excitement of coming back here MIA that woke me up so early lol I'm definitely more of an Autumn/Winter watcher than Spring/Summer so looking forward to lots of seasonal weather watching with you all ...and my heating isn't on yet but my onesie is!
  9. Hi Everyone Good to see all of the familiar names are still here. Im glad to be back
  10. Morning All Just back from a frosty walk with a very excitable dog... Like it when we get a hard frost because at least the muddy paw prints are not too bad when we get back lol Was in Stratford yesterday so missed out on the snow showers around home but STILL hoping to see some soon
  11. Was it that long ago! Thanks. I've been trying to work it out by how old my daughter was...she was nearly 4 and made her first snowman that day Lol I was editing when you posted because I remembered how quick the thaw was. I had been worried about getting home for work on the Monday but it was gone quickly
  12. Know what you mean about snow in Stratford but was lucky once to wake up to a surprise fall early one Sunday in April a few years back. My caravan that I posted a snowy pic of yesterday is in Stratford...gave the campers in the field a bit of a shock though and the tourers struggled to get off until it thawed (which happened a bit too quickly)She is looking forward to going to Hatton so maybe Stratford and nearby can keep the snow shield on for that day please
  13. Thanks MIA Will be watching hopefully. Am off work next week and staying in Stratford so a snow event would be great timing although my daughter might not be so pleased if her falconry experience at Hatton is cancelled. It was a present from 🎅
  14. Thank you...have a piece of cake 🰠and a drink 🺠on me in celebration Cheers
  15. Had a few days off the forum...birthday busy-ness...but I'm back now a year older and a year ... Wiser (?) Weather today hasn't been noticeable at all really but I had noticed how light it was getting to and from work. On the lead up to winter I love the dark nights like you DWW but I'm now getting ready to open my caravan back up ready for the Spring. Hopefully this year may get to wake up to this one day again just like when we had the snow early April a few years ago ....
  16. I also remember the 1990 snow event well. I was a Saturday girl at Woolworths and we had to close early because the power kept cutting out. Buses were all stopped and I remember a long snowy walk home in a polyester pinafore dress lol Loved it !
  17. Saw a few flakes earlier today but for now snow watching on The Jump on channel 4 lol
  18. My internal snow radar isn't working as it used to! Just looked out while debating a trip to the local McDonalds and lots of white everywhere...when did that happen! Must be my age
  19. Is it a bit sad that I have really enjoyed watching the New York snow cameras? It's the first thing I looked at when I got up and when I just got in from work! I could happily watch for hours lol
  20. It's addictive! Better than watching Big Brother lol
  21. Oops! I upgraded them...only 20 -30 inches expected (got a little too excited when hearing 10 o clock headlines and listened more carefully at 10.30)
  22. Anyone got a web address for a NYC weather forum...would love a look (jealous much) going to go search twitter now lol According to radio news headlines at 10 WOW!
  23. 30-40 inches expected in New York...how much discount can we get lol
  24. Just had a double flake upgrade....now waiting for the downgrade lol
  25. ...the roller coaster begins again lol
