  1. I've got 4.5C and dewpoint of 2.8C at the moment, not raining at the moment.
  2. Watch the radar tomorrow, I really don't think you can say much more than that. The potential for snow, locally heavy is there alright but its really anyone's guess as to where will be the location(s). It looks like rain will turn to snow, so it is another question as to whether any falling snow will lead to an accumulation.
  3. As I said earlier in the week, we will be watching this one all the way to the wire and then some interesting developments for next week. It will be a case of radar watching tomorrow to see how far north the meeting of rain and cold air will be.
  4. Always interesting when the Met office charts/meteogram shows one set of conditions, but the written text forecast describes a different scenario. I would guess one a pure computer generated set of data, whilst the written text is a forecasters interpretation.
  5. Interesting developments in the latest charts for Friday... http://modeles2.meteociel.fr/modeles_gfs/runs/2017011012/66-779UK.GIF
  6. Excellent work. I've been looking for some time now to build a low cost, completely off grid system for weather. I've only just skim read this, but going to have a good look through this when I get chance.
  7. This looks really marginal to me. If i were doing any planning, i'd certainly plan for the worst, situations like this have a tendency to evolve at very short notice, changing their nature. I'll certainly be keeping a very close eye on this over the coming days, but don't expect any clear pattern to emerge. I think we'll most likely be watching this one all the way to Saturday/Sunday,
  8. Massive flash flooding around the Black Country. My drive home from Dudley to Halesowen saw many flooded roads and popped drains. Really is the deepest I've ever seen it. At least a foot deep, more in places.
  9. Heavy rain for the last 15 minutes in Dudley, and just heard the first quite loud rumble of thunder. 18.8C and 89% humidity. We had a little bit of rain yesterday and a few rumbles from around 5.30pm.
  10. Hail with thunder and lightning in Dudley for around 15 minutes at 7pm this evening.
  11. Heavy sleet then snow shower from 5 to around 5.25. Left a slight covering, but not all of the grass or greenery covered. Not accumulating at all on the roads.
  12. Short light snow shower in Dudley just, ended now. It lasted only around 5 minutes with no accumulation. 4.7C with a dew point at 1.7C.
  13. Exactly the same here at the moment in Dudley. The smallest few flakes wafting around in the breeze, temp 6.9C, dew point pretty low at -1.2C.
  14. Spring snow is a not that uncommon, it's actually snowed more times at Easter than on Christmas day.
  15. Looks like there might be some sleet around 11am here in Dudley, perhaps turning to snow? Currently 1.4C dewpoint -0.3C.
  16. Large flakes in Dudley, temp down to 1.1C, dewpoint at 0.5C. Ideal conditions for snow and could account for the large flakes.
  17. Mild last night, down to 9.1C (even that was at 8.30 this morning, 6pm to 6am max of 11.7C!). Now overcast with drizzle in the air, 11.8C.
  18. Looks like a cold but sleety/showery rain filled night for the Black Country. Currently 1.9C in Dudley.
  19. Not as much as I thought in Dudley and Halesowen. A dusting to a cm in places. Widespread ice, and untreated side roads are a bit more interesting but on the whole the roads seem in good shape. Looks a fine sunny, dry day today, cold as it should be. Overnight low of 0.3C, currently 1.3C and rising. I must say it's nice to have temperatures more suited to the season we're in.
  20. Not too long at that intensity. Bits and bobs after midnight
  21. I think there's still more snow to come, black country, Birmingham and Solihull could see slightly more after 11pm tonight.
