V Light dusting here overnight, but what’s that on the radar??

Has been around 2c all day IMBY, frost has stuck around all day where not in the sun. Looking ahead, tomorrow Met office suggests light snow tomorrow morning... maybe, we will see etc.. Interesting and unpredictable times ahead next few days. Good luck for those looking for snow!

Nothing like reliable but next week (just for fun) GFS 12z GS 12z Tuesday...TBH not thinking this is going to happen but options open over next few days and I bet anything of interest will be close range only. Or a combination of radar and a quick peek out the window maybe..

Happy Fridays Proper frosty out but some bright sun. I get that there is a general mood of 'no snow..' but showers can still occur for the Mids. Lot's of examples in the past, but also a lot of examples where we see nothing. So, keeping an eye on short term developments only. EURO 4 Sunday Someone help me out here too, Cheshire gap streamers don't tend to get picked up on models so keep an eye out there too. Some pretty decent snow fall when that makes it this far in land. Cheers!

In the closer more reliable ish time frame, I still have my eye on this.. Looking ok that. 528 dam line moving South, obvs other factors to consider for those of us looking for snow..

Slight noob(ish) question but looking at that 528 dam line/thickness, does this strongly suggest higher probability of wintery stuff from about next Thursday? And this looking like cold uppers (for Mids in this case) across the near period into mid December? Looking good, yes?

I sometimes struggle this time of year and the odd cold hunt (even if failed) does help. Always learning something new here and is really fun when things get lively! My family will keep me busy otherwise over the next but will check back... Merry Christmas all and to those taking time out, I hope you return to boom worthy charts of whatever weather persuasion..

Compare GFS 0z and 6z on a fixed date -31st Dec Not sure where I am going with this and others will have a better take but I feel the predicted mild period may not be quite so mild. Again, compare with other models and runs in range etc..

Maybe! Colder than previously forecast here tomorrow: We have seen some short term developments over the years so I guess if everything just happens to fall into place. If nothing happens, so be it. No sleep lost. Happy Christmas eve all!

Average temps on GFS ens do trend mild after 29th this IMBY for now.....

My location: Bank! I would take it.. Still not writing anything off or throwing in towels etc.. its just weather and we might get some interesting times ahead. For Christmas day and Boxing day, it's short range only now I think. I cannot see either day being 'mild' entirely. It might be wet but mild?
