My seagull often sits on my head though i try to discourage him because i get nervous about that huge sharp beak and those huge sharp claws so near my eyes, anyway i would hesitate to go out like that because then everyone would want a nice warm headseagull.
Well that sounds like another fashion trend in the making! You'll be wanting your Seagull baby to keep your head warm.

We could make pom poms and add them for extra classiness!

Reminds me of when i was in brighton it was icy and i slipped at the top of a hill, slid all the way down and landed hard with my foot underneath me and everyone looking, god i was embarrassed and i sprained my ankle it was black and blue for ages.
Painful, I went through a phase of spraining my ankle, was really weak and extremely painful. Even went skiing with a sprained ankle, painkillers and brandy helped!

Haha! That’s true. Plus you could smuggle loads of miniature vodkas in them for warming purposes
Of course, or if it the beast from the east really does turn up, Brandy....

All jokes aside 5k people be travelling down for this weekend. I am admin on the Soul group for the weekend so I will be watching carefully to keep people up to date to alter travel plans if need be. Lot goes into these weekends. Not just the artists booked to play but all the fancy dress costumes bought/made. Cost my group £1300 for the weekend so if we can' go due to heavy snow it be gutting.
Hope you have a really good time. x

They look quite comfy and warm lol, shame about the, er, colour
They'd hide a lot of sin's, if one was having a problem with a really slippery slope and flat soles......

Do thermals go with dresses lol ? Sod it us girls are hard when it comes to cold ... jeez i used to wear next to nothing going clubbing ( what was I thinking )
One of my oldest friends told me in my teens, I went out in next to nothing (blame my age - couldn't remember...). I couldn't think of anything worse now. I did move on a lot, fell in love with ski slopes for many decades....

To quote from the Mock Turtles song, think these words are apt with regards the weather!
Will you come and join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you,
will you join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you,
won’t you join the dance? At least we can take heart that the sun is shining, so silver lining.

Possibly copy and paste, or click on the quote button..... tbf I've not tried myself, but if you have tried might be worth a go.

I know its terrible trickyb, people dob't believe me when I say how bad it is in Bexley, I mean you never see anyone sweeping the roads or that sort of thing do you. Greenwich have a large team of road sweeps, my mate is a manager at Greenwich refuse and there are cuts going on but I often see them out and about sweeping and emptying bins in Greenwich.
I'm not staying up any more for the models, am knackered most of the morning when I do that, at the end of the day the weather will do what it wants to do.
I think Bexley only clean the roads, at least they used to do, the blasted thing used come along early in the morning and wake me up! I think that problem is there are quiet a few lazy sods that don't pick up after themselves, simple equation have dog, pick up, don't have a dog if they cannot be bothered. Makes you wonder a) What state their gardens are in b) How well they look after their dogs. Its the children I worry about as we are right near the park, a trip or a fall from a little person, if they happen to land in the wrong place at the wrong time, not a good scenario.
I don't blame you, this weather is so unpredictable, I've spent most weeks looking in on the thread, thinking will it or won't it snow! I was in bed ill earlier this week when we had a little shower, my hubby came in from work to check on me and said it was - was a bit lost on me that day - well we'll just have to see what happens next without the bated breath!

Can't get over what time you lot were on here till last night (hardcore!!!), I thought I went to bed late watching the Olympics! You want to come to my neck of the woods with the dog poo, drives me crazy, Bexley Council did spray signs on the foot path last year; however they have worn away and now its poo Paradise in Albert Road!

Joke?
Snow currently missing presumed lost. If anyone sees an entirely uniquely shaped ice crystal, possibly in the presence of other ice crystals that initially look the same but in fact are subtly different, please call Rime Watch. Remember, snow is not common so, please, don't have nightmares.
It's the lack of snow that's causing this I tell you.

Localised areas will have some good snowfalls, but mark my words, mid Feb onwards will deliver the goods
I do hope so, I used to get my snow fix yearly in Chamonix, but more creaky now and want a snow fix closer to home; fingers crossed!

I’m so confident of a cold spell then and very excited by it. Next week is big standard. Yes, nice to be colder, but far from special.
What will be, will be, a nice surprise will always be welcome.
