HUMID.com!!!! Winged ants appearing from under my planters, all sprayed with insect killer.......

It's blinking cold this morning, I have three layers on and I'm indoors!
-
Tipping down here, along with lighting! One terrified cat, sitting next to speakers, think its drowning the sound out for her.

Looking forward to next weeks 'major' improvement on the weather, hubby put in of large planters outside our flat, so will be trawling the garden centres in the local area to find some new plants. Even if its not as good as forecast anything is better than what we've had this week.

Smelt the whiff of snow yesterday! Time to get my camera out, dust it down and charge both batteries. I have two places I want to go to which are local, very old and extremely pretty church in Nuxley Village 'All Saints', got married there in August 2016, so many happy memories. Plus Lessness Abbey, near Thames Mead, got a lot of lovely forest around the area too. Can't wait for the event to start!

That sounds perfect - pint first of course!
If its going to be as cold as predicted, Sambuca or Brandy! Or you could probably put a nip in a hip flask to warm the cockles!

Thanks for the tip!
No problem, you could start at the Fox and Raven, you will come to a part of the river where there are lots of canal boats moored too.

In Essex parlence, that UKMO is 'taters. Throw it on the pile with the rest of them!
If this were bog-standard cold weather at the end of February I'd be cursing about now, but this very much looks like turning into something not seen here since I were a lad. If it pans out per today's output, synoptically something you'll see here only a handful of occasions in a lifetime. At this time of year, possibly only once.
As a lover of photography, there could be some amazing opportunities for shots around the country next week.
Especially if you get over the A12 and walk along the river towards Papermill Lock, I've got some amazing photographs of the area from past winters!
Opps sorry I shouldn't probably have posted comment on this feed.

Evening all,
Wow, what an ECM run that was. Really loving that t144 chart, for midday Tuesday, lots of kinky isobars!!
Agree with Steve M. if that run came to fruition, would expect snow showers, to start moving westward, later on Sunday and becoming heavier, overnight.
Hope any snow, holds off, until Sunday evening, as I have a hospital appt, at Queen Marys', Sidcup, for an MRI brain scan. This is to investigate, episodic neuralgic type soreness, on the left hand side of the brain. Saw a Neurologist at the PRU (Bromley), she didn't seemed overly concerned. She thought it maybe nerve damage. a legacy of a brain haemorrhage/stroke (Quite common, after this type of brain trauma, evidently), I suffered in Sept.2015, or scar tissue, after a surgeon tore the ventricle, on the left hand side of my brain, after surgery, to remove a drain. I'm not overly concerned, either!
The model runs, look pretty good for our area and from an IMBY viewpoint, if those 850s are correct and the flow can align, to the ENE, we must have a fair shout, at a Thames Streamer. Anyway, I'm getting ahead, of myself, now.
Whatever, comes to pass, it's certainly been a fascinating period, of model watching!!
Regards,
Tom.
Nothing like a 'Kinky Isobar' Just hoping we have an epic event! Hope you are okay. x

I can remember when I was young waking up in the morning and scraping the ice from the inside of my bedroom window
I had to do that in the late 80's when I bought my first flat with my ex husband. It could be perishingly cold, it was a new build and there was an electric heater on the wall in the lounge. Used to have terrible damp from memory too.
