  1. Sleet here. Maybe it will go to snow in the heavier bursts.
  2. Only joking Will. Any idea on the state of the main roads between here and Glossop?
  3. Do you have food and drink for several un invited guests ? LOL
  4. Looks like the front is now heading South. If you look at Leeds, the clearance came fro the south but has gone back the way it came so Leeds back in precipitation.
  5. I don't think its going anywhere fast, if it freezes that will be bad
  6. Unfortunately, the snow is stopping as the back edge is almost upon us from the South East. I hope it slides back later.
  7. Yep, measures depth is a shade over 10", sounds like you might have got a foot.
  8. Yep absolutely, just a glitch in my grey matter.
  9. I think the depth is by far greater than 6", I have 8.5 here and I know others with just short of 12"
  10. Looks like the snow may stop, less than 15 miles East of me is the snowless edge,
  11. Mike 57 do you know the town crier in Bridlington?
  12. And so it goes on & on & On 20160304_123303.mp4
  13. I noticed that the back edge is approaching from the South east, whether it will slide and keep us in the pivot point remains to be seen but eventually it will stop.
  14. I do wonder if the lying snow adds to modifying the atmosphere enough to keep it on the white side.
  15. Strangely it was not to bad in Buxton this morning, the snow was some 16 miles further north here. No good if trying to get to the college from my location.
  16. We'd need moussaka on an industrial scale to feed our family, looks were getting snow on that scale too.
  17. Snowjoke, I believe the road was flooded again near Tesco's from water coming down the footpath from under the railway, is that due to the rain last night that preceded the snow?
  18. I can vouch for WillinGlossop, Piling up and around 6.5" currently. DCC doing a sterling job trying to clear the minor roads around Hadfield.
  19. Night all , got to dig car out early tomorrow (again)the snow rate must be an inch per 15 minutes just bonkers. It rained all day ... Honest, Will will testify.
  20. Just looking at the RADAR theres a second big area of precip catching up to what we have over Derbyshire / East Manchester.
  21. I'm not sure it is, could be overhead lines arcing as the insulators get bridged making a path to earth. On a side note, I stuck my head out of the front door and could hear geese honking !! Navigation Cat IIIB ?
