Can see lots of showers travelling west-east just south of me, lots of the clouds look pretty inpressive! However, we havn't actually had any showers here yet as far as I know.

Cheers supacell, you're forecasts are always in depth and very interesting! I will keep an eye out for any hail/lightning tomorrow.

Meh , been raining on and off all day. Just a boring day, I suppose.

Please tell me this is gonna change
Don't worry Amanda, it'll be fine! When I was a child, I was extremely scared of Thunderstorms and now I love them! That was because I realized that there was nothing to be scared about. Perhaps if you think about what WON'T happen instead of what COULD happen, you won't fear windstorms any more!
Just a bit of advice, it might work, or it might be a load of rubbish!

Very chilly out and we have something known as a FROST! Feels more seasonable than recently.

The rain has now stopped and it's now clear but feeling a bit cooler. Good weather for anyone having fireworks tonight.

Alas, I think this predates Cameron. Maybe Blair and his 45cm dossier? Or maybe @Ed Stone has it right and it's all Ant and Dec's fault. I wouldn't put it past them.
Well put. Goodness knows what will happen if the dreaded Trump gets to be president of USA. He says that 'climate change is just weather'. I hate Donald Trump even more than I hate Cameron!

I'm not far away either.
Absolutely desperate for a frost, let alone snow. Had at least a few decent frosty mornings at least this time last year.

That photo is stunning, well done! I did hear the temperatures would be closer to normal soon, so we should hopefully get a few decent frosts.

Hmm, some small hail in that squall line. Pretty good for this time of year...

It's too early every winter and then it's spring Don't get me wrong, I'm as desperate for snow as it's possible to be but I'm also a raging pessimist. Not so much a forecast as simply fearing the worst. The snow drifts up the front door of my childhood seem long gone
Yes, I like snow too, but if we don't get any then it's just the weather. And the weather CAN be helped. If the world uses less CO2 then global warming will be limited and we have a higher chance of snow.
I need to choose someone to blame for Global Warming now...
I blame David Cameron.
Yes, I blame David Cameron for us not getting any snow any more.

I didn't, I completely missed those, sadly. Rain has died down a lot now.
I know we're unlikely to get snow again this winter but I live in hope. Wishing everyone a happy New Year
I think it's a bit to early to say that; it may be late March before we get snow (if we get ANY)! Happy new year!

I do! Sounds worse than it is in my conservatory but adding a bit of excitement to NYE
Yeah. Absolutely torrential now, am wishing for a rumble or too at the moment. Did you see the two very distant flashes from Alton way about half an hour ago?

Ahhhh, if I could have thunder it'd make up a little for the dire lack of snow in recent winters
Edited to add: hail and rather blowy out now!
You must live very close to me, we have small hail too. Not too large pieces...
-
Got two distant flashes!
-
Squall line about to pass through, the wind is blowing a hoolie outside! Apparently reports of small hail mixed in, so this will be interesting! Maybe even a clap of thunder or two!
-
Few strikes of Isle of Wight!
-
Very gusty here last night, with some drizzley rain around this morning.
-
Was blowing a hoolie outside last night, but the wind has since calmed down. Cloudy at the moment, the clouds are travelling pretty fast.

Looks like its gaining a bit of oomph to as it makes in roads on us
Yes, it does. The wind has strangley gone down as the rain has started.

Wind's got up here with some rain pushing through soon by the looks of things. Some torrential bursts in it by the looks of the radar.
-
I am currently nin new Milton and it feels like April with the sunshine and convective showers.
I really want to hear some thunder today, even if it is just one clap.
-
Feels like last August! Few spits and spots of rain earlier.
-
Cloudy and very mild here. Also a bit rainy now...
-
Been cloudy with occasional rain here. Boring...
-
Been sunny spells and short but torrential showers and beautiful convectional coudscapes.
