Observations? Probably coincide with the magnetic poles flipping.
Climate change has weakened the Gulf Stream System 'close to tipping point' | Daily Mail Online
WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UKKnown formally as the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), it is the driving force which brings warm water from the Gulf of Mexico up to the UK. -

The weather is so up and down these days since 2006/07 especially record hot record dry and much more increasingly record wet, record cold last summer was unusual with those apocalyptic style thunderstorms.
There are no seasons anymore and spring is here, winter will be back in spring.
UK weather always all over the place. Nothing new particularly.

Who cares as long as it is pleasant weather to enjoy. Achieved more outside in the last couple of days than I have for a few months. /

Anyone sussed out the precise location of the vent? Been to Etna when damn all was happening so interested where the action is at the moment. Been trawling. All a bit vague so far just it is the SE crater.

Has there been any review concerning which model performed best during the recent/current cold snap?

So, I moved this into the climate questions thread, so we can treat these statements as "why are we seeing cold and snow now when these articles claimed we'd never see snow again due to climate change?"
The first step here, is I'll ask you to provide the sources for all your claims, then highlight the particular sections of them that support your statements. If you can do that, we can examine the accuracy of the articles and, if needed, the scientific research underpinning them (if they were based on research.)
I think it could be a useful exercise! As it has been a bit chilly for a while recently now, compared for many previous years, how do we reconcile this anomaly?

Nothing much happened here. Very cold. Might be even colder tonight.
Tomorrow I start some bacon dry curing. Pork loins on special at Morrisons. If you ask they bring out a whole loin and say what bit do you want? Got over 4kg to do. So I cure them then cold smoke. Then slice . Very tasty. Just like bacon use to be.
Here is some I did previously

To be fair , countries that get regular snowfall are better set up for it. We don't often get disruptive snow so are not.
As we have disruptive snow once in a blue moon now you can hardly expect anyone to invest in such things as snow tyres etc.

At least the Met Office could’ve removed the yellow warning for western parts where there’s been nothing much but snizzle!
Not disappointed as I knew it wasn’t likely to get much here. Met Office a huge failure with their forecasts!
If it was all that easy to forecast weather I suppose we would all be doing it.

What a miserable old day it has turned into. Didn’t start off too good. Apart from a Morrisons experience and a trip to a wholesale nursery to buy some red currant bushes I don’t feel I have achieved much. Made some nice granary rolls and got a new brew on. Thank goodness I cut the lawns yesterday.
Oh for some more nice spring weather. Got plenty of things to do outside. Make a new gate for starters.
